Hilarious. So much is being made of this. It's like they've never heard a player say something nasty... jeezus Diddle people... move on. Weise should have left it on the ice tho.

My understanding is that Weise was asked what he said, but he told reporters that Lucic was "disrespectful and classless" but didn't repeat anything.

I think they just watched the video to figure out what he actually said.

The reporter "guessed" what he said and Wiese confirmed.

Meh. Weise should have just said "What is said on the ice stays on the ice." and taken the high road. Either way, too much time wasted on this silliness.

They want fans to think they were 'disrespected'...

Because it's the handshake line.  No other sport has this.  Expectation is you accept defeat graciously, andvictory with humility.
My kids soccer team does handshakes after every game. Every single rugby game I played in had a handshake after, even if there had been a massive brawl on the field.

I'm talking of the major sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL).

So the Big Bad Bruins scored a grand total of 1 goal when they had the Habs on the ropes. Krejci's been great the last two playoff seasons, but dried up completely. I wonder if they wish they had held on to Seguin.

Of course not, you don't trade Seguin with potential regrets behind it. He didn't fit the room, great organizations do what's necessary to address those kinds of issues, and the Sens should learn from it.

Boston's window is rapidly closing. I've been saying this about Chara since last year -- he looks exhausted. He played under 24 minutes last night -- this was an elimination game.

He also took some slashes and hits throughout the series that probably slowed him down. He's a big guy and Montreal is a small, fast team. Not a good match up for him anymore. Still though, I agree. They have another year or two tops of being top 3 in the conference. Other teams are getting better and they're at their peek right now.

Chara looked real old at the end of that series. Injured? Looked like they ran out of gas. Habs were just too fast for them. Speed kills.

Hamilton and Krug are really young and Seidenberg is back next year, they are set on D and Rask is still young.
The only real old guy on offensive is Iginla.
Don't see how their window is closing, at all.

Apparently the Slovakian coach said something about a fractured finger. I'm guessing that would have been a comment from the Olympics.

Bergeron has lots of miles on him. Kelly and Thornton are no spring chickens. Without Chara the last few years they are a good -- but not great -- team. They have trouble scoring and need that 6'9" on the blue line.

The 3rd best offensive team in the NHL has trouble scoring?  Laugh1
Kelly and THornton are 4th liners...
Boston lost a game 7 and all of a sudden they are a team in decline...  Facepalm

They played the most playoffs games in the East during the past 5 years. They are a little bit tired, yes. To say they are on the decline is ridiculous.
If Krejci gets maybe 2 more points in this series they go to the Conference Finals.

That might make sense with Chara and the fractured finger. He took a pretty light slash on his hand in Game 7, winced heavily in pain, and removed his glove to look at his hand.

Anyway, yeah, he looked absolutely exhausted at the end. As LeKing points out though, they have lots of good players that are still young or in their prime...they will likely start using Chara a little less, and can afford to do so with their other D stepping up (Hamilton, Krug, Boychuk).

If Boston's window is closing I don't even want to think of when the Sens might be opening because they are no where near being as good as Boston.
