Benoit did come back into the game. Seeing him after the hit.. basically out of it.. really surprised he came back..

I wonder if the current Sens scoutting staff would have let Jamie Benn go to the 5th round

Stephane Robidas broke his leg back in November when he was playing for the Stars. He broke the same leg last night playing against the Stars. Wonder if that's ever happened before.

That's probably the end of his career.

Yah good possibility it's over for him which is sad.  He was a solid D man for a long time.

I was shocked Benoit came back, as it looked like he had a pretty bad concussion. I guess the whole concussion protocol thing pretty much goes out the window in the playoffs.

I feel bad for Columbus too...man, they had that game wrapped up and somehow Pittsburgh storms back.

Good for Dallas last night too...the only 3-0 series is the Montreal one. Montreal is going to need all their time off to figure out how to play better...it's going to get way tougher for them next round.

So Matt Cooke has an in-person hearing, meaning he'll be suspended for more than 5 games. Any guesses? I figure 8.

I'll say at least rest of the playoffs and 10 regular season games.

I'll say 20 games with the possibility of 30.

That was such a puking joke. He hasn't been suspended in over 18 months and I'd bet a lot of that is because the league wanted to have a shiny example of a rehabilitated former predator. In reality he had several questionable incidents since his last suspension (that's not even counting lifting his leg up when coming int to hit Karlsson -- I still think that was meant to be a knee into the back of the leg for a charley horse). Plus this whole 18 month thing is a totally arbitrary number that, frankly, has no business being there in the first place. Why is there even a statute of limitation?

They are saying it's not in the same spot as the other break... but bad news....

I always enjoyed the way Robidas played the game. Too bad he'll likely be going out like this, but still had a nice, solid career.

It's like that joke about the missionary and the lion. The missionary is up in a tree, the lion is waiting for him. Finally the missionary figures he might as well try to convert the lion, since that's what he's god at. So he prays, and reads the Bible and -- miraculously -- converts the lion. But when he climbs down out of the tree, the lion say "For what we are about to receive, may the Lord make us truly grateful."
