He's right about Borowiecki replacing whatever Methot could possibly bring though. A lot more character in Borowiecki as well and not only that, replaces the Ottawa boy bull sh*t too.

Diddle man defeat from the jaws of victory

I have nothing negative to say about The Gregger. The huge saves were there and he even did little things like freezing the puck when we were on our heels in the defensive zone.

The refs, of course, tried to let the Hawks back in with quick calls after the Michalek and MacArthur goals.

Fairly impossible to criticize a goalie when he faces about 50 shots and still gets you the W.

Oh yeah? Well if Anderson played like this in October/November then we would be sitting 2nd or 3rd in the Atlantic right now. I almost don't want to see him stop 46 of 49 shots now because it hurts thinking of what might have (should have?) been. Not that I want to tank, but would prefer Lehner to play this season out.

If you think the main problem this year has been goaltending, you haven't been watching the games.

Anyone blaming goaltending (even if it has been less than stellar) or the actual defensive group really has no idea what they are talking about.

He's good. I really like what I've seen from Hoffman, but he isn't quite there yet. I think Stone's ready to go.

Blamed Anderson for his own poor play for sure, like I said less than stellar. The entire point of my comment was the biggest issue facing the Sens is not goaltending, they face 40 plus shots basically every night. It is not the defense group, they have nothing to do with odd man rush after odd man rush. It's the team defense and the total lack of commitment and responsibility by a select few players on the team.

Do I think Anderson and to a lesser extent Lehner have needed to make a save or two more early on in games? Sure so. Do I think too many weak ones have gone is? Absolutely. That has nothing to do with the overall play from the team and at the end of the day even a lack luster effort from the goaltenders have very little to do with the the struggles of the Sens.
