What a Jekyll/Hyde game. Horrible start, excellent finish.

Did look like a bit of embellishment. Hopefully he's ok.Ev wrote:Ryan dove though
So now me giving credit where credit is absolutely due is back tracking? Spezza's first was awful. Great in the 3rd. They need consistency though, not spurts.wprager wrote:He played good all game long, you're just backtracking. Spezza was double shifted in the second as a reward for playing well in the first.NEELY wrote:If Spezza scores a goal or something good happens, the guy has games to hang a season on... when he doesn't things are ugly. Either way, he had a big 3rd, that's what they need from him, they need it in the 1st though. Can't come back night after night.

No it wasn't. He was very good defensively in the first and second. Anderson made some big saves at 2-1 and 2-2 or else this could have been very different.NEELY wrote:So now me giving credit where credit is absolutely due is back tracking? Spezza's first was awful. He was not awful in the first. The team was bad, true, but he was doing what he could, winning face offs, back-checking. Every one on air was saying this was his best game, defensively. PMac rewards him with more ice time in the 2nd. He gets 1st star. Yet NEELY says he had a good third. You've got blinders on.NEELY wrote:So now me giving credit where credit is absolutely due is back tracking? Spezza's first was awful. Great in the 3rd. Looked like Dennis Seidenberg got his elbow up to protect himself as Bobby Ryan was bearing down on him behind net. Ryan shaken up

@Davidmclellan Go back and look at the context of the hit, you moron. Completely different situation. Ryan was closing in on Seidenberg
