Minnesota aren't coached by a buffoon with a ridiculous looking mustache.

Totally agree. Play the goalie that will give you the best chance at wins which is what makes this decision even more ridiculous than PMac's moustache.

I'm shocked about this one....lehner has predominantly played against the bruins the most since anderson never fairs well. Now this one is a headscratcher....

He needs to make sure he keeps them in it early though, or it'll be the same old story.
He's had more support than Lehner, lol.

Makes complete sense in my mind, they are doing everything they can for Anderson to take the reigns and control of the #1 job. If that doesn't happen then it's a full blown goalie conflict and a distraction. Anderson has earned himself enough rope in Ottawa to get this start IMO but he's close to hanging himself with that rope. Anything but a win from Anderson is pretty much unacceptable at this point with the way Lehner has played. If the Sens lose 1-0 and Anderson stops 49 of 50 (which sadly isn't far fetched at all) the result is the same. He's running out of racetrack.

Could this be more a message to the team? Odd decision again. PMac must want to give him a chance to get in a groove. Hopefully he's lights out vs Boston.

GO SENS GO!!!

I wondered that too but, if it is a message then what is it?
Straighten up the goalie's not going to bail you out?  If so then he's saying Lehner is the better goalie which isn't the right message to send your team if you want them to believe Andy is the number 1.

If you bail on Anderson now you may as well trade him because once they give Lehner the net there's no going back.

Yeah, I guess that's true. More metabolic meltdowns in front of Anderson, more shots on Lehner. Pretty much equally bad support. This team better wake the heck up.

I'm gonna guess that PMac is giving him 3-4 games in a row to get going... after that, if it ain't looking good, it's "Release The Lehner" time. He's probably told the team and goalies this to set the table. Just my guess.

Yeah. It's funny how much focus there has been on the goalies, when the majority of the rest of the team has played like Dung for the bulk of the season so far. There's a couple MUCH BIGGER issues than who starts in net.

Yes, but why mess with a good thing when they were on a roll.

Cory Schneider took Luongo's job because he was playing well.

Just because Lehner basically stops everything that shouldn't be held against him lol

Indeed but Luongo had a few chances to keep the net, Anderson is so different. Anything but perfection at this point from Anderson and people will be talking.

That said this is a good distraction from the rest of the team sucking.

I don't mind this move, but the writing is on the wall with permanent ink at this point. Lehner is the future.

That's always been the case, and it's been 100% certain since we traded Bishop.

Yah, I don't think anyone saw Anderson in Ottawa past his contract. Lehner is forcing the Sens into a tough position and at the end of the day that's exactly what they way. Good teams and organization makes extremely hard decisions.

I know, but it's imminent.
