But yah Ev, you're right. Every organization has border line 4th liners that dominate the AHL.

Like Claeson a lot.

Yah, Hoffman has no idea what to do with the puck when he has a little bit of a space, none. Slap shot always the first option.

lol Hoffman gt cut right there. Refused to go in after the puck.

Oh, well, they gave us some false hope early on. Considering the lineup they faced, it could have been much worse. 3 goals against with just 99 NHL games on the back-end, with Smith as your most experienced face off guy, not too shabby. If Borowiecki was 2" taller you think he'd be on this team?

Boroweicki still might be on the Sens to start the season.

Hopefully people are starting to see a little of what I saw in Wideman a long time ago. He's a guy that could very well get a shot at the NHL level one day.

Stone is a long way from the NHL. What a first step he has...no chance that can work in the NHL. Wideman and Conacher were the best players on the Sens from what I remember.

Boring game.

1 punch was another guy I liked.

I disagree, Stone is close just guys better than him right now. Stone will look good with better players, like at the WJ.

I hope so. I personally wasn't impressed tonight.

I thought Stone was alright. The game in general was a bit of a dud.

Someone is going to flatten Subban someday soon, and I am going to love it. Those cross-checks he delivered to O'Brien...oy vey. He should've got a double minor.

Matrix looked pretty good.

Stone still isn't ready for the NHL... I don't know if close is the right word but he isn't far either.  Not a guy that's going to create his own chances so he needs someone with him who is also good with the puck.  Needs to learn how to use his size a little more as well.

Anderson was solid, just looking for a game where he seemed comfortable.

Conacher is going to be a nice fit in that top 9.  Seems he knows what he has to do to be successful and it's something the team needs as well.  You hope that carries over to the regular season and I think it will.

Wideman, again was very solid.  Like him a lot and I see an NHLer there, might not be in Ottawa but I think he makes it at some point. Good with the puck, good skater, good at a lot of things.

Hoffman isn't close to making the team, doesn't have an patients with the puck, won't go into the corners, afraid of getting hit, and he's fragile.  He'll be waived between now and Sunday.  Losing him would hurt Bingo more than anything because that's where he's going to be playing the year.  This was his year to make it or not and he won't.  Won't be an Ottawa Senator in his career, too many guys have passed him.

Loved Dryzunski too.  Plays a simple, hard working, smart game.  Nothing special about him but he's going to make a career out of being a 3rd to 4th liner in the NHL... he does his job, nothing more, nothing less. He's the guy that I think might get picked up on waivers to be honest.

Not sure about everyone having a DD. Everyone has a Daugavins and get was picked up last year. DD has a lot of good things about him that teams may find attractive and he's proven he can play in the NHL and play well.

I had forgotten how effective 1 punch was. Shame he lost his chance because of that.

He hasn't proven much of anything. Look at the waivers from the past month and you will see lots of guys like him, such as Nick Tarnasky. Not Dung on the guy, he's serviceable, just saying no way would he get claimed as nobody would use an NHL roster spot for him at the moment.

He will be back with the Sens at some point if he doesn't get picked up off waivers. Again, out of all the guys getting sent back to Bingo he has the greatest chance of being picked up by another team. Guy is an effective hockey player at the NHL level.
