Bruins went and downright disrespected their star players and just physically dominated the penguins who came completely unglued. I don't get why we didn't do that....probably too afraid to get a penalty.

Gee it's not that hard to see why we got dominated when we had like 7 rookies in the lineup. It's called experience...Boston has it, we don't.

at least the last two games of this ECF were a toss-up

It's not just experience, Sens didn't want to play this suffocating defensive style.
Claude Julien Jacques Martin-ed Dan Bylsma big time.

Do you think the Sens did do something to slow down the Pens in way of injuries? Not trying to be funny.. but the Pens were not looking like the Pens for that entire series.

The Bruins were an exhausted team in round 1. Not enough time between the end of the regular season and round 1 to recover. The Leafs play tough, have speed and guys to put the puck in the net. But not the experience.

The rest the Bruins got between rounds 2 & 3.. helped them recover in ways of nagging injuries and wear..

They dominated in every aspect.

Should be interesting to see what changes the Pens have to make this offseason. Maybe it starts in net?

I don't see how MAF could come back with the Penguins next season. He's lost the #1 when it counted most. He no-longer has the support of his coach and maybe not even his team. Of course if Bylsma gets fired, who knows.

They either lose Malkin for nothing or trade him and get what they can. Too many egos in that room right now. Being bounced in four straight, losing confidence in your #1 goalie, having the two (arguably) best offensive players held pointless, a forward on his last year rumoured to offered $15M tax free in the KHL.

It could be a very different Penguins team come October.

And everyone in the press breathes a sigh of relief -- no cross-continent flights.

Luongo to Pitt might actually happen IMO but his cap hit is going to be an large issue there.

They might try and succeed in getting VAN to pay part of his salary? Who knows?

Can Van take part of the cap hit though? I don't think the salary is an issue at this point,

They could. It would cost extra though presumably.

Yeah I was actually calling this exact trade near the deadline (before they got iginla/morrow). I think they'll target luongo again. At this point, I think MAF will have to go back the other way (and maybe he's better for the canucks to have as backup than luongo).

An interesting note, in the entirety of the last CBA, each and every single SCF was 2-0 after the first two games. Last time it was 1-1 was 2004 (CGY/TB)

*suck on that mendes, elias bureau, TSN, and whoever likes to tout useless stats! Like Ray J, I hit it first.

Lalongo is not going to the Pens. Are they truly going to get rid of one playoff basket case goalie for another playoff basket case goalie?

Vokun is here for next season and I think they try to find their new goalie prodigy from WSP. They need cheddar next season and aren't going to waste a dime on goal tending.

Fleury has 2 years left on his deal at $5M. Luongo has a billion years left. And Canucks have to be desperate now to trade Luongo. Add some other pieces to the puzzle and that's a deal that makes sense
