First game against the Caps: Spezza was out, Zibby was first star in a 3-2 win (Anderson was 3rd star). Washington had a 2-0 lead before JOB (2nd period) and Michalek (early 3rd) tied it up. Winner was ... are you ready for this ... PP goal by Gonchar, from Karlsson and Alfie.
Second game: Cowen and Anderson were back. Sens doubled up the Caps 38-19 and won 3-1 with an empty-netter to seal it.
We all remember the last game.
Lack of scoring punch aside, we outplayed them all season, with the exception of the first period of the first game. We are their Boston.
