Yep it was the same play.

...and it was magnificent.

If he plays a little better he might be like a Swedish PK Subban.

Except Kadri. He's so good, he basically plays two position. Right, Don?

Is there was a Finnish PK Subban he would be called Pekka Subban. Fact.

I don't get how Karlsson was not given one of the stars last night. Gonchar with the OT winner, OK, that's quite common. The home-town goalie who faced 40 shots, yeah I can see that one. But Karlsson had the most ice time, the most shots, the most points of *all* players on the ice.

That's what playing in Columbus for years does to you.

Of course! Gryba wouldn't come out of the corner for 5 minutes until Philly came over and talked him down.

They forgot he was back...

Just chalk it up to general Sens hatred...

Got no room left for any more chalk marks.

Karlsson was awesome last night. The only thing I noticed was he didn't really go into the corners after the puck. I guess he wanted to avoid as much physical contact as possible..

Washington has a couple of guys.. like Erskine who play hard and mean.. so they would not be an easy team to beat in the playoffs. Just because we won the season series.. is no guarantee of a playoff win... BUT it surely would benefit the confidence of this young team.

I did not like the cheapshot by Alzner on Zibby after the winning goal.. There was no need for that...

Regular season is a poor predictor of the playoffs. Just because Boston kills us in the regular season does not mean we could not beat them in the playoffs etc.

Alzner on Zib was nothing compared to the shot on Silfverberg. I did a little bit of that getting out of SBP after the last Leafs game.

Green's slewfoot on (Turris?) was pretty bad as well.

I don't know if the Capitals game plan was to be physical and try and bait us into penalties or we've frustrated them so much this year that they lost it.

I think Ribeiro punched Turris thinking that nothing will be called on him and that Turris would retaliate and then the refs would give us a penalty.

Or maybe Turris pissed him off saying Ribeiro looks like a meth dealer.

First game against the Caps: Spezza was out, Zibby was first star in a 3-2 win (Anderson was 3rd star). Washington had a 2-0 lead before JOB (2nd period) and Michalek (early 3rd) tied it up. Winner was ... are you ready for this ... PP goal by Gonchar, from Karlsson and Alfie. Ahhhhh!

Second game: Cowen and Anderson were back. Sens doubled up the Caps 38-19 and won 3-1 with an empty-netter to seal it.

We all remember the last game.

Lack of scoring punch aside, we outplayed them all season, with the exception of the first period of the first game. We are their Boston.

I hope the Sens meet the Caps in the playoffs and they set the tone early. A few bone-crunchers on their skilled guys might send a message. I also wouldn't mind if Kassian handed Erskine his face (a la Carkner/Boyle) in the first game of the series. Want to f*ck around? Here's your face. Boxing

You think Kassian will see the ice in the playoffs?
