They just can't score. When you make Clemmensen look like a Vezina candiate, something is wrong.

Yeah really.

They are awful on the PP, awful at getting out of their own zone and awful on faceoffs (how many times have we been scored on a set play from a faceoff loss ?).

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. As you say, Spezza and Karlsson are the two guys that instantly remedy those problems.

I guess you might say that the hunter has become the hunted...

I know, I don't buy into it either really, but Concaher can't do much if something like that happens to Z-Bad, but someone who is much bigger might be able to at least rattle the cage. Not sure, we'll have to keep an eye on it. What happened to Z-Bad (twice) should have resulted in that guy's teeth being ejected.

Thing is nobody did anything. Even if no one on Zib's line did anything, Neil or Kassian could come on and do something after and they still didn't.

They haven't really pushed back like they did last year.

Well, they've done that a couple times and gotten 5 + 2 + 2 + 10 for their troubles. And on the shift after Zibanejad got shoved into the boards Neil invited the guy to fight, but he declined. Understandable, as it was still 2-2 at time, I think. Off the face off Neil went after him and was going to hit him but he got rid of the puck quickly.

This is why you can't always insist on targetting the player committing the deed. Just hit whoever is carrying the puck -- chances are it's going to be one of their better players anyway. It's a hockey play, you could turn a defensive play into an offensive one, you could take one of their skilled players out, and you definitely send a message.

And if you're lucky, then their plug may have little choice but to go after you for hitting one of theirs, and with any luck get the instigator.

But you know this all would have been unnecessary if the ref gave him a double minor for interference and roughing. Do that a few times and those kinds of plays stop in a hurry.

Do people really not understand different situations?

I'm sure if the Sens are 2 points up on 8th when they play then Pens and the entire team doesn't try and destroy Cooke, then people will be calling for heads and saying the team has no push back.

Cooke will get his. Just a matter of time.

Anderson's one of those goalies who are way better when they face a ton of shots. I think the last two games have been in the low 20's. He needs some action.

17 and 24.

Prags needs to discover the "Multi-Quote" button...but then that would hurt his post count.

So the only change is Pageau in, Regin out. Lehner starts.

I dunno but that's probably why Pageau was called up. The Francophones complained.

Methot and Benoit are francophones, aren't they?

Don't think Methot is, but Benoit is from Quebec and so is Latendresse.
