Rumours were he got into trouble for the Foligno bogus goaltender interference call and the borderline call on Silfverberg to put the Rangers up 5 on 3 and they got a goal..

Was the difference in the game.. and the series.

Tim Peel should have never been allowed to ref the playoffs to begin with, much less a series involving the Sens after what he did during the year.

You can probably request it or make a complaint. Doesn't mean they will do anything and they probably will not.
Yeah, from what I understand, they usually put together a case with video support and send it to the league to look into. This is why players should just shut up and let their GM do the work.

Even if they do that, does anything get accomplished ? Do they just tell the ref "Don't do it again ?".

Honestly the game is so fast I don't think it's it's fair to blame the ref all the time. We as fans have the luxury of video replay, the refs on the ice do not. Can you really tell if it's goalie interference, diving etc. right there and then without looking at the tape ?

The only solution is video review or a 3rd "ref" in the video room advising the on-ice officials(for at least the controversial issues), there is no way they can get all this right on the ice.

But that will never happen as it will just introduce more delays to the game.

We'll never know I guess. At least the NBA apologizes for mistakes that cost games... refs need some sort of performance review system...

Football as well, you get a 2 minute explanation of the call sometimes on the field

All I would like to see is acknowledgement that they made a mistake, and an apology maybe? Currently there is no accountability.

The call on the Regin faceoff was ridiculous. Obviously the ref didn't see it clearly (if he did, he wouldn't have made the call), so how can you just assume he hit the puck with his hand when it puts us down 2 men?

When in doubt, DO NOT CALL A PENALTY, or at least consult with your colleagues. If no one saw it definitively, then don't call it.
