Cammalleri is supposedly a jerk and not someone you want in your dressing room, dunno shrug. At least he doesn't have an NMC/NTC like Glencross (who may not want to go anywhere). I don't know if his $6M is too much for us though.

He is a guy who wants to win so I can't imagine him wanting to stay in Calgary.

Tanguay is 33 is signed for several more years, I can't see that working out, he likes it there and seems to do well (he was a bust in Tampa)

Think I'm going to jump on the Cammalleri train. He's a finisher we need at the moment and though it's $6M, it's only for another year and then he's a UFA. You're right Tanguay isn't a target because of the contract. Glencross has a really good contract but might cost more and there's of course the NMC that he's got.

yeah cammalleri could be an idea. the guy isn't a leader by any stretch of the imagination but we've got plenty of that. he's a guy that could produce quite a bit playing along side spezza. you have to think that he wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. they traded a 2nd and Bourque(a bad contract in the eyes of the flames) so maybe bishop + a low pick could do the trick. it's possible we could rob feaster he's such a moron. that 6 mill makes him expensive so maybe even Bishop and a low prospect.

Glencross might cost us more in terms of the return due to the fact he's much cheper and the term is nice.

imagine if cam regained his form wit spezza? 40 goals isn't impossible. although 30 is more plausible

for sure there's lots of questions around cammy. it's been well talked about in the last few years. but there's no denying that he could be money playing with spezza and the cost to acquire him might be at it's lowest.
I'm not saying I would want him here for sure but I'm intrigued at what he could do here.

Not denying that, but so were a lot of players who still helped their teams win, especially in the post-season. The Sens, all season, have been getting way more chances than their GF/G would indicate. They could use a finisher. Not saying it has to be Cammalleri, either. If memory serves, Stone used to be pretty good at finishing.

Sens are building a team... not sure you want a guy like that coming and stirring things up.

Both helped win stanley cup last year.

I think there are enough veterans to keep him in check and can help the sens. Again he's got one year left only at $6M. Comes down to whether Euge wants to pay that price and what long term return the sens are looking for in exchange for Bishop. More I think about it though, if it's bishop going the other way, we better find a way to get Glencross or Camalleri + prospect.

That said, Pominville is also avaialble and the sens are OK on his list I would imagine. Just can't see sens or sabres wanting to trade a big piece like that with one another.

Just gotta sit here and wait to see what'll happen. Probably nothing at this point. The Sens are playing well with the exception of the Leafs game, the team is a team not a collection of individuals - which will go a long way. We need some scoring, but at the same time we have Latendresse, the Swedish Connection, Turris etc., all of whom are playing a good brand.

Not sure what Murray will end up doing.

Are you sure Cammy isn't the King Douche and not King Ashole?

Cammalleri is money in the playoffs and would be that top line sniper we need. He's never played with a #1C like Spezza (whenever Spezza comes back that is) so he might do really well here.

Murray tried to sign him when he has a UFA as well I believe but that was during Heatley-gate.

We"ve got a tight group. Alfie and MacLean won't tolerate any BS on the team so guys like Cammalleri would have to shut up, fit and do what is expected of them.

Hard to say.

If they brought in Cammalleri I would be all for it, I don't question the moves that the Sens make.

It could work, I trust Murray if he does it. He tried to land him before so there might be interest now. Cammalleri is a guy who wants to win bad so I can't imagine him wanting to stay in Calgary.
