Bad backs are genetic. I am blessed with this curse as well. There's only so much you can do...work it out, stretch it out, and hope for the best. Anytime I play hockey, I feel mine for up to a week afterwards...you just have to manage it as best you can.

I give Melnyk full credit for making Ottawa a credible hockey market by emphasizing the hockey country moniker. He helped bring world jrs to Ottawa, all star game, women's championship. He's done well to make Ottawa a hockey capital of sorts.

You just hope Spezza's career isn't at risk right now and it sounds like it might be if things are this bad. A bad back has taken out tougher guys than him.

Just don't want Murray to make a move for the sake of making a move. If anything I hope he re-signs Gonchar and Latendresse and I would consider that a great trade deadline.
