Hopefully Daugavins is picked up today, hate to see the guy go back to Bingo but better yet it opens up a roster spot for a guy that might have a future within the organization.

Daugavins asked for a trade, was upset DD was getting ice time over him. Murray put him on waivers and will send him down to Bingo if he clears. Basically done with the Sens for good.

So much for the team guy stuff.

Nope, Murray didn't waste his time with it. Basically it was "you don't want to be here, fine. We'll waive you and see if anyone wants you". Wouldn't be surprised if he is loaned to the KHL and Riga at this point... not totally sure if he will report or if they want him to report.

Yup, thought the same thing. Fact is there are players all over the entire organization that are better than Daugavins. He wanted to be in the NHL, he's there. He is clearly a player that doesn't know his role if true.

Either way, he's done as a Sen.

Saw on HF someone posted that they heard an interview from Daugavins about him being asked to go on waivers... pretty much backs up what I said except Daugavins and his agent sugar coat it a little. Just want to make sure I am not looking like a fool who made that up.
