Didn't you know? It's a meaningless game. The Sens shouldn't even have bothered playing, just forfeit the game. Fans could have saved money, we all could have not tuend in to watch - since the Sens weren't even going to show up. Facepalm

Absolute B.S. Calls against Chris Neil. Terrible reffing

This doesn't happen to be our favourite ref tonight does it?

Wow it's so shocking that they are getting beat by a non-playoff team in a game that doesn't mean much. If the game meant a lot, Gonchar wouldn't be sitting. Who cares how they play this week, really. New Jersey won tonight so it's locked in for Boston now.

Second of all, no, that's Dung. How about Kane's goal last week? The ref on the ice was standing right there, said the puck went off Neil's arm, and said it was a good goal. They shouldn't have even reviewed it.

How was it locked in? New Jersey was 4 points up on us and we go head-to-head on the last day, with the first tie-breaker in our favor. Devils are going to Detroit before coming back to host us. One loss is all it would take.

Besides, they had no idea in the 1st period how that game would turn out (was 1-1).

The one when he "charged" Staal was pretty weak, too. The ref standing 5 feet away lets it go, the one near center ice, all the way across, calls it.

But we had our chances early on the PP and did nothing.

I just don't get how they called it interference when he hit the puck carrier.

Two good things about the playoffs:
1. No crappy teams (at least not for the low-seeded teams)
2. No crappy refs (or at least fewer crappy refs)

The hell is up with the stupid blowhorn used for the end of each period? Where's the buzzer?

Isn't 8th still on the table... if Florida wins the div, and the Caps win out and we lose out?

Seriously, whoever is mad at this game is incredibly naive IMO. Wasn't that hard to predict a loss tonight.

and that Alfie chant - talk about lame. Why tonight? Lame as lame gets. Alfie was probably pissed.

that being said though it should have been 1-1 going into the shootout right about now. Cussing refs were awful.

Surprised it was as loud as it was. A little lame but at least they're trying new things as fans.

A better chant would be 'one more year!' preferably after he scores a goal
