Cowen, Phillips, Lee, Rundblad, Carkner, Gryba, Karlsson.

That's 2 who play the left side (Cowen/Phillips) and 5 who play the right. Clearly someone is playing their of side (and it's not Gonchar playing left as a leftie). I suppose they *must* try a rightie on the left just due to the logistics (in-game injury, penalty, suspension, for example). Who knows what may come out of this.

Huh, what the heck is up. Who's playing their off side?

Did Rundblad not play with Adam Larsson at times last year? I only caught about 3-4 of the swedish streams, but that pairing would have had Rundblad on the left side, would it not? Obviously the right seems ideal, but I don't see the harm in playing the kid on the left side to see what he brings to the table.

Apparently Rundblad can play the left side, they may be trying that out.

That will be the only way he makes the team out of camp.

Just watched the Saturday game, thought he played his best game so far.

Rundblad played much of his SEL career alongside Erixon, a lefty. I think Erixon was gone last year, tho'.

If Rundblad is comfortable there and has had experience, I don't see a problem. But I don't see much to suggest that he's had experience, given the Erixon pairing in the past. As to how it feels on him, who knows. As he's been playing the right side for most of his career, I'd tend to think it feels awkward, tho'.

Nope, they still played together. But during the playoffs Forsberg played Erixon with Larsson

If you could play one player on his wrong side, which would you trust more? I'm almost 100% certain (not just speculating) that Larsson played the left. I'm also almost 100% certain that Rundblad has only played the left on the PP, primarily off rotation, not set design.

I just played my off-side in NHL 12 EASHL and I was fine.

Why don't we just go straight to the source. You know, ask @steffeG.

Why don't people wait and see what they decide to do with Rundblad? He may very well have to learn how to play the left side in Ottawa, I don't think he could make anymore gaffs at this point playing in the right.

Rundblad is more of a project than I thought and that could very well include playing on the left side going forward.

They need to fix the draft in Be a GM... I got Yakupov in the 2nd, Ebert in the 4th, and Galchenyuk in the 7th. That's just wrong.

Yeah but Yakupov sucks in the game since he's 5'1 hahaha

Yup, that's quite annoying that they got some things completely wrong. But the prospects ratings were like that last year - Landeskog went undrafted many times. You gotta edit their potential and in Yakupov's case, his height.

Weird though that when I did my first BAGM in '12, Yakupov went #1. Perhaps you had an old roster file?

He's played 3 NHL games on the small ice surface. He will automatically learn the NHL game that easily. It's harder for D to do that.

For God's sake... give him some time. I hope someone talks him into Bingo (if the Sens want him to go there) -- even 15 games (a la Karlsson) will probably help a lot.
He seems to be getting a little more comfortable every game... one thing for McLean.. NEVER pair him with Kuba.

Pretty sure the Sens want him in Bingo, did they nt mention the retirement of Sweatt left them in need of a PMD?

if he makes the NHL, he makes the NHL though. They'll just sign someone else.
