The people I don't feel sorry for are the losers who think they can do mad skateboard tricks off huge railings and end up de-balling themselves. Too bad.

Lombardi was just on HC@Noon and was talking about the Doughty situation. Nothing new to report really, but he's focused on making sure the contract fits with the teams' long term plans. They have a young core that he wants to keep together for a while and he doesn't want to be caught in a Chicago situation with the cap. He said simply upping the contract by another $200K or $300K may sound easy but it has long-term implications with the cap and is something they need to be aware of.

Hopefully they can get something done before reg season starts. They ain't trading him.

I know you're going for humor, but that just doesn't have to be true. When you're young you do stupid things but it's usually lack of experience and not intelligence. That girl who got killed last Monday crossing March Rd to get to the Park & Ride was a university student at 17. Doesn't sound like a dumb-Donkey. When I think back to some of the stupid stunts I pulled when I was younger it makes my hair crawl. I lived in a highrise apartment building. I lived on the 12th and a good friend of mine (who was 2-3 years older) lived on the 15th. There was a central staircase with balconysateach floor. Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to provide easy access to a blacony 15 stories high in the air with nothing but a half wall with a rail on top. One day my friend and I thought it would be a good idea to hang over the edge as people were passing below and scream "Heeelp!" The other of us would hide below the half wall and then help pull the other guy up when the prank achieved the desired effect (of scaring some poor pedestrian). Since he was older and much bigger, it made more sense for him to do the hiding (and, later, the pulling up). Now, I'm pretty intelligent, if you put stock into IQ tests, but I certainly was not thinking things through very clearly when I was 10.

That's a lotta words just to tell everyone how smart you are.

I'm not smart enough to decipher if that was sarcasm or if you're just being mean spirited.

You can understand my dilemma, though. To prove you're smart you have to use long words, like antidisestablishmentarianism or Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. Of course, when you use long words, your posts tend to be longer. That's why I have such a terrible time with Twitter, and hardly ever tweet.

Been a few years, but:

Barney is a dinosaur
From our imagination ...
Something something something something
Something some-sensation

Relevant part is the second line.

No, no, no, no, no, ... well, yes, maybe a bit.

Sarcasm has an element of meanness. I was just trying to entertain.
