So, this gets even stranger... Selig nixed a TV deal between FOX and the Dodgers for a reported $3B... yes, BILLION.

This deal was key part of a divorce settlement between the McCourts. So, now, the Dodgers risk not making their payroll this month.

Man... a TV deal for a single baseball team for $3BILLION... makes the NHL look real small... like, microscopic.

I can't even draw that many zeros. Insane.

I don't think the article specifies how long that $3B deal was. Maybe it was 30 years.

Oh well, baseball stinks...it has got to be the most broken professional sport in North America. You have payrolls of $30M versus $300M.

Is MLB going to buy the Florida Marlins and sell the Dodgers to Jeff Loria now?

One of the older franchises....crazy stuff. This has been a season from hell for the dodgers organization

It's insane... hopefully they can get things sorted out... sounds like McCourt has really Cussed this team good.

it's a shame. But I really feel it won't take too long to find another owner. It's LA, and the value of the franchise is probably at its lowest.

Selig has an owner in mind already and I think he'll try and get the courts to put him in place and bounce McCourt outta there.
