If you're going to Baton Rouge, you get either the pork chop or the ribs.

The go-to appetizer at Baton Rouge is the three cheese dip. I will get my kid the chicken strips next time and steal some to verify your claim.

Definitely gotta get the ribs if you go to Baton Rouge. It's like going to a sugar bush and not having any maple syrop.

I'm not a huge fan. I've eaten there quite a few times (and worked there for a short stint). Baton Rouge is basically fast food, it's just much more expensive. Pretty much everything except the steaks is precooked.

You can order a drink and a rack of ribs and the ribs'll beat your drink to the table by 10 minutes.

Moxie's is decent. Personally, I don't love chains. Most of their food is frozen, pre-made, and pre-packaged.

But you don't go to Moxie's for the food. The ladies are very carefully selected, I understand. This is a place that (at least according to rumour) used to hire their service staff from modeling agencies so that they could fire them if they no longer had the right look (read: put on weight).

Well the ribs have to be cooked for a long period of time, then they are grilled I believe.

Yup. They're kept in a steam drawer and grilled for about 30 seconds. I've literally seen the ribs beat the drink to the table.

Ribs have to be mostly pre-cooked in order to be available in a reasonable amount of time for an order. The best cooking method for ribs is traditionally smoking at a low heat for a few hours, and then finishing them with BBQ sauce over flames for a few minutes.

Did someone say - oh, never mind.

Waitresses wear skirts that look like belts. That tell ya something?

Had the Works this weekend.

Deep fried bacon with bacon mayo.

Then the Hunka Hunka - peanut butter, bacon, banana on beef.

Only way it could be better is if you were to tell me you had ketchup on those bad boys.
