Quebec City set to announce plans for new arena

The Feds have not committed any money yet but are considering allowing a portion of the gas tax to help fund it. The majority of the funding seems to be coming from the province.

Presser is in an hour at 11:45am.

Very nice. Long overdue.

That would be the first stages of a bid to get an NHL team? I hope so.

EDIT: I also think that if Winnipeg is serious, they will need to show they are committed and have investors come in and build a larger arena or expand their current one.
