Wasn't young Mike Fisher a stud Center in Junior? Sarcasm

Precisely.

Compared to all the NHL stars today when they were in junior.

The guy just had 5 goals 7 assists in 4 games... I've seen the 5 goals. There was a one timer close to the blue line on the PP (Malkin style), one break away, one driving to the net from the boards, and 2 wristers from the slot...
Again, all of this is from a fan posting on the internet and not a scout's opinion, but I am not afraid to say that if this guy adds muscle like Stamkos did, he'll be better than Tavares, Duchene and Hall.

Corey had smaller size and less weight on his side too.

I agree with building down the middle but a team that will be lacking a lot of character in terms of high end skill guys when Alfi leaves, Landeskog is a great guy to jump in right away. Either way, I personally don't care who the Sens grab because they will make an impact right away and they are both potential franchise guys.

I'm starting to sound boring but I firmly believe we need one potential N1 center in the system and in this draft I don't see any except from RNH Strome, Couturier and Huberdeau, and it's safe to say we ain't getting more than one of them.

How come you don't acknowledge Landeskog as a center? He's played C in the past and apparently is quite adept.

After all the complaining that Fisher should be moved to the wing because his game is more suited to playing there, would you really want to move a player whose game is similar (north-south, crash and bang, etc) from wing to center? scratch

Different players entirely but either way, I honestly don't care who we grab of Landeskog, Strome, and RNH, I think those 3 will be the best players from the draft along with Larsson.

The argument with Fisher is that he didn't have the vision to be a playmaker to the wingers, where apparently Landeskog does. Plus, it's very early to tell, but Landeskog seems to have slightly better offensive instincts around the net. If what people are saying is accurate, he'll be driving the net while Silfverberg and Alfie feed him the puck (for example).

Obviously I could be wrong, but that's the sort of reports I keep reading/hearing.

I know it was sarcastic but I will say this coz I'm bored today Laugh1 :

Fisher 49 pt in 66 games, 25 assists on a team who had 3 guys scoring more points.
RNH: 102 pts in 66 games, 3 times more assists and setting up goals left and right to nobodys that are not only older but having career years goal scoring wise. Best player on internation tournaments hands down (was not on WJC but too young and did not fit on the roster's philosophy, still on the last cut)
All of that on the most defensive team in the WHL.
Yes, Stamkos is great, so is Hall, Tavares and Duchene.
Stamkos is a bit different because he was a one man show and could do everything.
Tavares was mostly a goal scorer but was on a stacked team. I sitll love him anyways.
Duchene had 48 assist, playing with Hodgson and Grachev
Hall was awesome, but playing with Ryan Ellis, Henrique and Nemisz on the PP.

So I don't see why we shouldn't include him in those discussions at least.

Anyways. I just love the guy, I think I would cry if the Oilers take him just before us Crying
I think I've pimped him enough ad nauseum Laugh1

PErhaps they see Silfverberg as a 2nd line winger and maybe they go with Strome or RNH because of that. Maybe the winger Landeskog may be is already in the system, at least in terms of how they view things? Maybe RNH is the way to go, maybe having in the fold would be the best thing and he could turn players like Butler, Silfverberg, and Michalek into 60-70 points players going forward.

Don't worry. The Oilers already got burned by a can't miss super-talented picked named Robbie Schremp. Maybe that spooks them.

I think RNH might be the way to go, but it's heart-breaking because I love Landeskog and everything he stands for and the way he plays, the effort he gives, the talent, the grit.

Either way, between RNH and Landeskog, I won't be complaining.

He (Lando) is still a very talented guy, he's Mike fisher coming down the wing but he actually ends up in front of the goalie Laugh1
He's just not as talented as Strome and RNH but he's still a top 10 talent in the draft, easily.

Either way, there will be some nights for sure we will regret not taking the other, no matter who it is.
