Yeah, I watched Strome play tonight as well basically going back and forth from The Sens to The 67's and Strome is probably every bit as good as RNH. Strome has more of a scoring touch it seems and his size is an obvious factor that I think will allow him to be more successful at The NHL level.

Strome could very easily end up being the best player in this draft. I'll switch my opinion to Strome or Landeskog, probably more debatable than before though. I'm flip flopping for sure because this draft is so deep with talent.

At least with an ANaheim win the NSH pick goes from 14th to 13th.

In all honesty I would love your take on Strome. I'll admit I haven't seen RNH play that much other than the prospects game and one random one against Calgary this year but what seperates him from Strome.

I honestly don't see that much of a difference in Strome's skill level vs RNH and he has more size and a little mroe grit and has more of a scoring touch. He's also dominating The OHL right now and is one of the younger players in this draft... in all honesty, after watching him tonight I might like him better than Landeskog and that's saying something.

Fine, we'll just have to get BOTH Strome and RNH. I don't care. Rockon I still see Strome being picked lower than the Top 4, so that could work to our advantage.

More likely that we get shane prince than strome, but either way we'd have to move up. good thing we got a gazillion 2nd rounders

Well I won't be disappointed with either. If Ottawa does grab that potential number 1 center he is going to have every chance in the world to succeed playing behind Spezza. That right there is why Spezza is so valuable to The Sens going forward. He might not be the best number 1 center in the league, I don't think he's top 10, but he is a number 1 center in The NHL and they don't grow on trees.

Unreal. At least they get a point + the Isles win, that's really big for us. I'm fine with coming in with pick 3, it's after that for me personally, I feel there's a difference personally.

Move up to get Shane Prince? He'd probably be available at our second, and maybe even further if this injury he suffered tonight (concussion) is serious.

Well I'm not even convinced Landeskog is ahead of Strome at this point on The Sens list. That game was unreal by him tonight.

Murray loves picking guys coming off injuries that teams forget about. Having 3 first rounders will give him a chance to take a serious chance on someone. Wiercoich is a nice example along with Stone.

Softer hands is what I would say. RNH makes very hard passes look easy, and can hold the puck a lil bit longer. I think he's a bit harder to play against because it seems he barely moves his hands when he makes a pass so the defender has a hard time predicting what he's gonna do. Other than that I haven't seen enough to make a pretty detailed comparison. RNH rarely slaps and Strome loves it, but I'd take RNH's wrister over Strome's...
Vision and hockey sense look quite on par but that's hard to tell without seeing a lot of games from either.
At the end of the day I guess it's just difference in style, and I've always liked finesse The Official 2011 Tank Nation thread - Page 51 270956

2 firsts you mean? I would take Prince even if he was injured, but I don't think we would have to move up if he wasn't. You can get him at 33 or whatever our 2nd will be, most likely.

I love a guy that can dangled and thread the needle as much as anyone but if you are looking at the tools that will make one player better than the other at The NHL level, it's smarts and size. I also put the ability to score goals a little further on the list than the ability to make a pass.

IMO I can see why the rumours of Strome being the number 1 on a few lists exsist. I have a hard time not putting him there now myself. Basically has the same offensive flare as RNH but is a better goal scorer, is bigger, and IMO probably a little smarter away from the puck but I like I said I haven't seen RNH play all that much.

Sorry, 3 second rounders.
