Islanders, Hurricanes and Leafs are all in action tonight. Isles and Hurricanes have 67 points, Leafs have 68.

Flyers @ Isles
Blues @ Hurricanes
Leafs @ Lightning

Leafs could find themselves alone in 2nd last in the East after tonight.

CP24: More injury woes for the Maple Leafs: Nikolai Kulemin sustained a broken finger in Tuesday's game and will miss three weeks, the team says.

The Gardiner/Lupul trade was money. I can't stand BB, but that was a great trade (though I hear Lupul has some injury history Sarcasm ). Gardiner looks like he's going to be great and Lupul really helped get the Leafs going (at least at the beginning of the year). Just sayin'.

Now Damien Cox suggests that it's time to deal Kessel.

I saw a new car today. It was a Nissan "Leaf". Naturally, it was blue. I didn't check to see if there was a golf bag in the trunk.

P.S. Actually, an interesting looking car. Certainly caught my attention.

That's the new all-electric one. Nice as long as you don't need to go very far, or travel at highway speeds...

Not sure if trading Kessel is the answer... they need to find a center to play with him, as well as fix all the other issues...

cox is at best a provocateur. the man is a total wash of a journalist, a 2 cents analyst with little to no knowledge of what really goes on in the NHL. anyone on this site could do better commenting on the NHL then this fool. glad he's more in leafs land.

That's EXACTLY what he is. He said that Ottawa fans were dishonouring the NHL by stuffing the ballot box for the All Star Game. He just says controversial things to keep his name out there.

Seriously. The NHL knows exactly what happens with their voting system. It's designed for what happened in Ottawa. Cox is a donkey.

Oh, come on. You could have done better than that.

Nice, as long as you don't need it to keep going for a full season or at playoff speeds.

And I wasn't even trying.

They couldn't even trade him back for the same picks they gave Boston, even though Boston's picks would be much later than Toronto's were.

Welcome to Toronto. This is what Cox and Simmons do. They write crap that stirs sh1t up for no reason and gives an excuse for people to call into the talk shows to b1tch about it. It's awesome listening to the post-game shows, the callers are hilarious.

"Hey, this so Tony, from Woodbridge... yeah, the Leafs are the best, we should bring back JFJ, he was a good GM, and sign Wendel Clarke to a 1-year deal, and bring Cujo back..."

Heh heh.
