Unreal. I unfortunately only watched the first 5 or so innings. Guy was cutting them down in the replays.

First pitcher to throw a no-hitter in the playoffs since 1952 and first since Nolan Ryan to throw 2 no-hitters in one baseball season.

He deserves it. And he deserves a World Series to guarantee himself a spot in the Hall of Fame. The best pitcher of this generation without question.

Luckily when he was in Toronto I some him pitch many times. The guy is great on the field and he's fantastic off the field as well. I couldn't be happier that it hapened to such a great person.

Always cools as ice.

He waited a long time to make a post-season start and he made the most of it.

This guy is a machine. First post season start, and he gets a no-hitter. championship or not, I think this start guaranteed a cy young and a future spot in the Hall Of Fame, no question.

Post season starts do not factor into the Cy Young race.

Yeah, he already won the NL Cy Young in my opinion. He just dominated the league this year.

sure they don't, but lets not pretend he wasn't going to get it from the get-go. It can definitely help sway the votes in his favor even more

Pretty amazing job by Roy. Too bad the Jays could never get him the support he needed.

Not necessarily, Adam Wainwright had an amzing year as well. If this no-hitter did way votes then that is just cheap.

seriously? Halladay has better numbers, and he's helped his team get to not only the post-season, but best record in the majors. There is no way in hell halladay does not win the Cy young. Why its up for debate is beyond me....who cares yesterday's performance sways voters even more, he was bound to get it without that performance. Perfect game to boot too

Yeah, Halladay has had a monster statistical year. He led the NL in innings pitched (250.2), wins, complete games and shutouts. He had the second best WHIP, third best ERA, second most strikeouts. He gave up only 30 walks which is incomprehensible considering he started 33 games this year. Plus, his team finished first in the league with him as the ace of the pitching staff.

He's gonna kill the voting.

Halladay has my vote, but I don't think it will be unanimous. I think some voters will feel for Wainwright since he put up one less win than Halladay, more striekouts, and a very similar ERA than Halladay, playing on a worse team.

Did I ever say he won't win the Cy Young? No. Don't jump to conclusions Smile
