Good win, another strong outing for Elliott. Frankly, though, I am becoming quite alarmed about the penalty situation. Lately, it seems, the Sens have to lose a limb to get a call, but little ticky-tack plays always result in PK situations. Maybe this won't be a problem in the post-season?

ya but we can also say that for us, i have found that there are some games that we should have had a ton of calls, anyway overall great win, lets hope volchenkov's injury is not serious, wouldnt wont to have to loose mickalek and volchenkov going into the playoffs.

Yeah, apparently he wanted Karlsson on Anaheim at 15th or something and Murray traded up and grabbed him at 14th (or something).

Sens' magic number is down to 5. Any combination of Sens' gaining or Atlanta losing points, adding up to 5 and we clinch a playoff spot. We have more wins than Atlanta could possibly get, so 5 will do it. Even just two wins by Ottawa and a loss in overtime by the Thrashers will do it. The earliest we could clinch is on Tuesday, if Atlanta only gets a single point from Carolina and Toronto, and we beat Washington; or if Atlanta loses both in regulation and we get to OT against OV. More realistically, though, Thursday, April 1st, when Atlanta faces Washington and we're at home to Carolina.

Snoozefest for the 1st period, but Karlsson strikes again! I was actually worried when that first shot from florida went in on Ells but was offisde...thought we'd see a struggling elliott but he came through once again.

So what star of the week will Elliott be? I don't know about other performers this week

I think Elliott will be 1st star, Jimmy Howard 2nd, and Derek Roy 3rd

On another note, terrible penalties in the 3rd period by the sens. Was really rooting for Kovalev to turn his game around last night, but he was quite the non-factor last night again. His passes were a bit better though.....so baby-steps!
