Arrested in Arizona for DUI. Was clocked at doing 70MPH in a 45MPH zone. NHL could possible suspend him and save the Oilers some cap space!

I doubt I would, and frankly I would sign a lifetime contract with the Oilers for league minimum right now. NHLers have it lucky to make such a great income.

There's absolutely no excuse for what he did. He joins Mark Bell, among others, as a Class A Moron.

What are Edmonton's options here? He has a court date for February, depending on the outcome, it could make their decision for them. He'll likeyl be suspended by either the NHL or Edmonton, and as a result of violating NHL and club policies, he could very well have his contract voided. Anyone know the rules here?

I wouldn't be surprised to see his Cap hit and salary come off the books for a specified period of suspension by the league but I doubt the whole contract gets voided.

His charges have now been elevated to Extreme DWI/DUI. Oilers' won't comment according to spokesman.
