I hope you're right because he just about covered all the different ways to cough up the puck last game. Thankfully none of them cost us and he was able to recover as I said earlier.

I think all he needs to do is watch the video on his play shooting the puck into Halak's glove along the ice and then compare it to Fisher's goal.

Pretty much, yeah.

What sucks about Neil coming back is that it's gonna be someone who probably doesn't deserve to be scratched that'll go. That's starting to dawn on me now. One of Cheechoo, Regin, Winchester, Kelly, Ruutu, Shannon, Foligno will be sat. Unless of course Clouston sits Kovalev down on his arse so he sees the light.

From NHL_Sens:

Today's update:
Only Volchenkov doesn't skate (maintenance); Neil skates but not in equipment; Picard (upperbody) could play tomorrow.

With any luck they finally sit Kovalev for a couple games and send the message.

Seriously Kovalev needs to stop talking to the press about Montreal. GAME DAY: Montreal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Tue. Dec. 8th, 2009 PLUS post game thoughts - Page 27 489887

I know, I was thinking the same thing too. Good news (well...not really) is there are 2 guys I can think of that I would scratch with ease when he comes back.

I don't know if this was posted yet.

Pascal Leclaire should be able to return to the Senators' net to face either the Minnesota Wild Dec. 19 or the Boston Bruins Dec. 21.
Of course, sooner would be better for a team that heads to Philadelphia and tomorrow's meeting with the Flyers having won just one of its last six games.
Leclaire, Ottawa's No. 1 goalie, has been out since suffering a broken cheekbone while sitting on the bench during a game on Nov. 23. Leclaire was back on the ice taking a few shots yesterday and again today before team practices at Scotiabank Place.
"Probably another 10 days," coach Cory Clouston said when asked about Leclaire"s expected return. "Basically, when he's ready to practice he's ready to play almost. He'll just need a couple of practices. Everything else is physically fine. It's just a matter of making sure that if he took a shot on the spot that it doesn't cause further damage."
Meanwhile, Chris Neil today skated for the first time since suffering a knee injury Nov. 25 and is expected to return in two weeks. Defenceman Alex Picard, who suffered an upper body injury four games ago, could play tomorrow.

Oh you didn't see his comments about IF he got inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The short of it was, "I'll give them my first Montreal jersey to hang, because the first time I played for montreal it felt amazing and .....a bunch of other crap about how he's loves Montreal.

Which is fine to say except when your overpaid to play on another team.

He won't scratch those guys though, I just don't think he wants to go down that road.

Bah...what if we waive him? It's like getting a great player when you can magically come up with 5 million dollars in cap space. Diddler can go and play in Bingo. It's comparable to Montreal, right?... Sarcasm

Some updates form SensReporter:

Updates galore: Leclaire should be back in 10 days, Volchenkov missed, but he's fine. Picard probable and Neil still two weeks away.

The Senators spent 40 minutes practicing the PP today. Kovalev rifled a top corner shot...now if he could do it in a game...

I'll lay off Kovalev when he starts doing SOMETHING in game situations. This 'rifling' they speak of? I need proof. And lots of it.

Kovalev has been missing Montreal since the summer began, why he signed here is beyond me. But, he clearly doesn't want to play here and that was clear from the first comments he made about it at his golf tournament this summer. There should be a law against players talking like that when they don't play for that team anymore. Very distracting and makes us hate him even more. Peace out Kovalev, you suck and I don't know why you signed here. What a waste of money. I knew it from the moment he signed, what a mistake.

I was duped by his potential to score goals and assist on goals. I didn't realize he was all used up.

Well, the potential was there for sure. I won't lie, I had to believe that he could turn it around, we'd just thrown 5 million...sorry 10 million dollars at him. I had to have faith in Murray's decision, I had to trust that he was making the right choice. I had a bad feeling right from the get go. I've never been a fan of Kovalev's. He was the last guy I wanted on my team, with the exception of Gerber and Heatley. There's a reason Habs fans and management didnt' want to bring him back there. It makes me ill.

I will never change my tune on Kovalev. I don't care if he all of a sudden scores 50 goals from now to the end of the season. He isn't there for us at all, he doesn't give 2 Dung about our team at all. He isn't there when we need him the most and that's what he was paid for. I'm so freaking upset about this. It's almost like he's intentionally sucking, I'm starting to think he is doing it on purpose and trying to sabotage our season. Is this the Habs plan? Is it a conspiracy against us? I feel like it is. I'm not kidding.
