Michalek and Fisher were solid again.

And like I said before, he recovers from those small mistakes really quickly and smoothly and he's isn't costing the team.

Let's take a break from Spezza for a sec, I actually have a much bigger issue with Kovalev and it goes beyond his on-ice production. And tonight's game just made my issue a whole lot bigger.

It was Melnyk, not Murray.

yeah Melnyk gave him the go ahead but Murray is the GM...gotta wonder...maybe better yet send him to Edmonton.

If your boss tells you to do something, you do it.

I know that and had no problems with the signing. I do have concerns with Kovolav now wanting to retire a hab again and played soft tonight.

You can only hope MTL takes him back. Maybe if they need some support come playoff time.

Im starting to get sick of all the "I wish I was a Hab" BS. Melnyk looks like an bunghole for forcing Murray to do that and Clouston's hands are totally tied with 2 players who are making a combined 12 mil who are doing nothing at all.

There is no way around that. I just dont get the Shannon thing.

This is pretty well becoming a pointless statement since the opposite is so rare. I shudder to think where this team would be without a handful of guys really playing their asses off.

Meh, not much you can do. Effort level is the only thing that a player can control.

Ok don't come beat me up for this and no I'm not defending Spezza in any shape or form but at least the guy wants to be her (or at least doesnt go publicly chanting he wishes he was on our rival team) and call me crazy Spezza was trying today, on a few occasions he was hustling, he just doesn't get it and it's not working for him he needs to put more effort but in the end the guy is playing for the team, our team.

Kovalev tonight showed absolutely no interest in giving the Sens a win tonight, I'm sorry but screw the unproductive $7 million player but you want to bet he's probably getting more support from his teammates than Kovalev? Call me crazy but I would be pissed if someone came out and constantly said they dont want to be playing with me on the my team.

This team wont make the playoffs with Spezza and Kovalev playing they way they are, especially Spezza. Tonight should really drive that point home.

Like I said before, I'm disappointed in Spezza but I dont hate him- even if he ends up traded, which at this point isn't far off- . Kovalev I just can't stand; whether he's producing or not

Also for a long time now, I have been ripping Campoli and I thought I'd give him credit tonight for what I thought was a solid night from him

I knew from the beginning that this Kovalev signing was a mistake. He wanted to stay in Montreal and Ottawa was the next best thing because it's close to Montreal. He doesn't care about this team and his attitude may be rubbing off on other players or at least not helping. Add in the fact that the owner and fans are now on his case and it brings out the Kovalev who floats around and doesn't do anything. What a waste of 10 million dollars and the only reason I think he was signed was because of the whole _______ fiasco. Melnyk wanted the fans to look forward to something but that has completely backfired now.

So I was at the game, surrounded by Habs fans singing Olé after every goal, HO Habs GO during the PK etc, and we were like 3 singing Go SENS GO all night, and the other Sens fans were there watching the game seating and staring at the ice like Diddling statues. Diddle this fanbase, we get dominated in our own building and don't Diddling tell me the players don't care about it, especially our goalie whose name is being booed in our building.

It's time to change this, I don't know what we can do but it cannot stay that way any longer. It's time for a Diddling fanbase stand-up riot in your face movement.

Oh and Diddle Kovalev and Spezza.
Diddle I'm frustrated.

Why should the fans care if the players dont? I just cant throw my support behind this current team. I love The OTTAWA SENATORS, but not the current version.

Until they get things sorted out and Melnyk let's Murray build the team the way he sees fit, they wont be getting a cent from me. Spezza HAS TO GO at some point in the next 6 or 7 months, this team cannot win with him as the center piece.

Either rebuild or dont, just dont put that crappy product and lack luster efforts on the ice.

Ive said it a million times, I love the pieces Ottawa has in place for the most part but there are definite underlining issues.

At this point I don't care dude, just because some players don't show up doesn't mean you have to throw the towel. I cheer for Fisher, Alfie, Volchie etc, I don't care if Spezza and Kovalev do their show on the side. I scream for the guys who are there 100% every game.
Montreal has sucked for more than a decade, they still get the support and it showed on their PK tonight, their goalie was confident as was the team. They were outplayed but never panicked and that was the hockey game.
Don't tell me Elliott's confidence has 0 effect when they are booing his name. He's not Brodeur, he's had a rough road trip and we welcome him back at home with Habs fans trying to get him off his game.

Not blaming any loss on the fanbase, just saying some support could help.

I agree, but what can you say, The Sens are not winning or playing well and people dont want to support a team that doesnt seem like they are trying or care (at least the ones that should). Habs fans bought up the rest of the tickets that were not sold, simple as that.

Show the fans that The Sens have actual direction (that's on Murray now) and The fans will eventually get loud and proud again.

Our fanbase sucks Wang. When Oilers fans can come and outcheer us, that says it all. Habs fans have waay more passion same with leafs fans. Sens fans just are way too passive.....I still don't get why a "habs suck" or "leafs suck" chant isn't started. I've heard it before....its become quiter now.

I plan on demolishing quite some beers before the game on the 28th....I won't be there to sit around. GAME DAY: Montreal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Tue. Dec. 8th, 2009 PLUS post game thoughts - Page 19 43150

Well, there are those kind of people that are waiting for progress to go to SBP. That's their choice and I don't blame them.
But when you go watch a Sens game, please open your mouth even just once for Diddle's sake. I tried to start a Go Sens Go 4 times today and it ended pretty fast... The Go Habs Gos were dominating and that was damn frustrating to listen to. Especially this stupid Olé chant. Grrrr GAME DAY: Montreal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - Tue. I'll be there too, again and I swear if it's a Diddling loss, it's the last game of the year for me unless someone offers me a ticket.

Being outnumbered in our own building is one thing but what really pisses me off are fans who actually try to shut you up when you cheer. I usually losr my voice when I go there and on two occasions I've witnessed people shushing fans because they want to "concentrate" Diddle that. Like someone once replied at a game "go watch the game in your living room"
