This is garbage. Honestly, the Panthers are all clutching and grabbing everywhere, yet we have several hooking calls. The Kovalev hooking call was the worst, he just lifted the Panther stick.

Did they just say Brad Richards texted David Booth to see if he was okay after "his" (brad richards apparently) hit?

with all do respect the penalties that we have got are indeed penalties...

The problem is they are not seeing the same infractions the rest of us are in the Panthers

I agree, on all but the Kovalev one, that one was a truly brutal call...

Yep...I can't believe Booth actually provided details to the text. I can understand answering the question saying that Richards reached out to Booth, but to give details of that text is crossing the line..

You were watching when Kovalev got called for "hooking" when he lifted the Panther stick right ?

Did I see that Florida play actually grab Michalek's stick and hold it up in the air to prevent him from getting to the puck....

and yet no call.

Yes, but the problem is this year the ref's are calling anything where the player reaches out with his stick and puts it on another player or his stick..

The Spezza one was similar...I'd like to see them change the rule to if it's stick on stick it's legal..to me that's just good play...as long as the guy you are checking either has the puck or is just about to receive the puck.
