The Sens are playing worse than Tampa did against Ottawa last week. This is terrible. Picard's play on the first goal is one of the stupidest plays I've ever seen in the NHL.

Somewhere in Binghampton, Brian Lee is waiting by the phone

Way too careless with the puck and they are waiting way too long to make a pass when they get it. You can't hesitate as much as the defense has because it allows the opposition to get in on you and force the turnovers.

It's a simple support issue. Nobody is supporting each other combined with the fact that they are waiting too long to make a pass. They pretty much took the Preds lightly I think.

Picard on for all 3 goals against, and clearly responsible for two of them, one he put into his own net the other he turned over to Ward(?). Poor play by him. I don't see any value for him on the trade market. Don't know why Murray insisted on him as a part of the Meszaros deal, when he was on his 3rd NHL team by then.

Picard was benched after that third one. I saw Carkner play with A-Train, Campoli and Karlsson. And guess what, we didn't get scored on!

Need a big come back. Neil has to come out hitting first shift, not when it's 0-3. Kovalev needs to decide whether he wants to play tonight or not. We can rotate three lines and sit down the ones who don't feel like competing. I liked Shannon's hustle on the PP but even-strength he was doing a lot of standing around in his own zone. Great legs in the offensive zone, but he may not really know what's expected of him in the defensive zone.

The Neil Foligno and Regin line is looking really solid tonight.

We need a fluky goal or something to get going...

I blame Fisher. He did a radio appearance on a game day.

That's a strict no-no.

BAH!!!!

At least Spezza and Fisher are playing well. I think it may be time for Foligno to watch a game from the pressbox, doesn't he realize he should drive the net with the puck rather than the patented spin to the outside and look to hit the trailer.

They are playing with no structure at all and instead they are playing like a bunch of individuals. Nobody is on the same page and it's an embarrassing effort, especially at home. Unless something miraculous happens in the third then I can't see them coming back with how bad they've played.

Just for fun I think they should try loading up the first line with Kovy, Spezza and Alfie. At this point Clouston might as well give it a go and see what happens.

Wow, i really really disagree... I find that Foligno has been one of our better wingers tonight. I would also like to see Regin rewarded with some more time with better wingers. Put him with Fisher and Foligno in the third. Then move Alfie with Spezza and Michalek.

Its time to put out a proper PP, assuming we get one.

Kovalev, Alfie, Spezza, Michalek, and Karlsson. Stop Diddling around and get a friggin goal.

And is really that impossible for Spezza to beat a defender 1-on-1? I haven't seen it once in the past I don't know how long. He's playing a really nice all-around game, but I know he can play a stronger offensive game than this.

I agree with the theory but disagree with the specifics. I'd go: Michalek-Spezza-Kovalev, Fisher-Regin-Alfredsson.

I agree, Regin has looked good tonight. Spezza, Fisher, Regin, Neil, Ruttu and Phillips are the only 3 that look good out there tonight, that won't get it done.
If they get a quick one and make it 3-1 in the first 5-6 minutes, this might get interesting.

If they don't get at least one here...

My only problem is with Kovalev. I wouldn't reward him with top line minutes. He's had a couple nice plays, but more bad plays tonight. I'd do that on a regular basis, but not for the 3rd period tonight.
