very sad indeed, but well, Emery won't be the same as we have his personal goalie coach on our payroll, eat that Emery

Eli Wilson couldn't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, that's for sure. Gerber shat everywhere, Emery never bothered to rehab, luckily Auld was good as was Elliott, but there was only so much he could do.

I wonder just how close he came to getting canned though.

he's still here I believe though, that might say something, either they can't find someone better or they have loyalty to this guy, not sure why though if he is as bad as you say.

Wilson is a pretty knowledgable goaltending coach. He couldnt give Emery a brain and he couldnt give Gerber confidence... He's done a good job with Elliott thus far and Leclaire looks spectacular.

Everything seems to be coming around for The Sens right now.

Hearing him speak live on goaltending coaching was very underewhelming. Perhaps it was his presentation skills but it was basically... 'look big and get in the way of the puck'. Anyone else could comment if they were there as well. It was pretty poor instruction. From that time on I saw the tenders in Ottawa struggle mightily whether you think it was a bad crop of goalies or not, results were poor. If I was GM he would have packed his bags with Hartsburg. I also would have canned Carvel too though. I guess I am a hatchet man but I am wholely unimpressed with Wilson and unimpressed with Carvel since day 1.
