Mine would have to be Kari Lehtonen's ode to FFX-2, which has been since retired in favour of a Kill Bill design I believe, it's either that or the Dark Knight theme I have seen through googling. Either way, here are some pics of the FFX-2 design he used to sport.

The new "masks" cannot compete with the old ones because there is no-longer any real mask. There is a helmet, and a wire cage. There is no way to get the old-style effects like that skull mask from the Blackhawks backup.

Personally, I always liked Dryden's simple design for some reason.
