A little "Brokeback" right there.

That kind of makes sense, actually. They have chemistry from Bingo. Cheechoo's not exactly a similar player to Zubov, though.

I was thinking about this last night and it's a wee bit of a pickle. I love the thought of Regin centering Shannon and Cheechoo - but Neil may be making a case to be a 3rd line grinder with added benefits of getting the puck to the net and following up. I know he'd never complain whatever line he's on, but if we put him on line 4, we run the risk of him playing only 7 or 8 minutes and being less effective.

Tricky problem, but I guess a nice problem to have as well.

well I really didn't purposefully do that, but that was how it was described to me what he did. I should have not phrased it that way in retrospect.

That top 6 = WIN.

I was just farting around thinking we should pair Spezza and Kovy on the top line... I don't think we've seen that yet.

Vandelay wrote:Love it! Neil keeps the intensity up. I liked Spezza's quote: "As soon as he dropped the gloves it was time to get out of there though". My wife (whose first language is not English) watched her first game of the season with me last night. When she saw Neil she said "that guy looks like he has some sort of intellectual problem"...funny cause it's true...but I have no problem with the intellectually disabled on the sens, as long as they bring that kind of intensity!

Wow, I just pretty much echoed what you wrote over in the thread specifically about the incident.
Haha...ya I saw that.  I figured, half way through writing there'd likely be a thread about the issue but there was no turning back at that point.                About the lines- I like the practice lines Clouston had.  With Spezza attempting to add defense to his game, Mlichalek makes more sense to me than Kovalev.  Michalek always comes back to play D which means an easier break out.  If Kovalev is there, even if Spezza does manage to get the puck out to him, unless there's sustained pressure in the offensive zone, Spezza won't be involved offensivley.  Both Alfie and Fish complement Kovalev well defensively and both have enough speed to get back into the play offensively.

Yeah, especially with that avatar. Ya think Leonidas is trying to overcompensate for something?

well that could be the case, I never heard the legends of the Spartan's and their promiscous lifestyles, so you might be onto something, mind you, if you played the God of War games, Kratos got it on pretty good with the women GAME DAY: New York Islanders @ Ottawa Senators - 7:00pm ET - Thu.
