Maybe it's for games like this one they should call up a couple more AHLers and sit out some regulars. How much you wanna bet that Leclaire gets run tonight, and that someone conveniently lands on his knee or ankle?

That's in the Truculence Do's and Dont's handbook in the "Do's" section. Winchester is apparently ahead of schedule in his recovery. (Senschirp)

How are guys getting injured when we've only played one game

Yeah... it's odd but perhaps something in pre-season or during practice. Anything can happen at any time.

Hell... I remember cracking my tail bone at a freaking power skating session.

Ouch!

Ya I guess so, but its just worrying that we're three men down already after on game. I was ok with Winchester and Shannon but Kuba is a big part of our D which is already in trouble as it is. Let's hope all goes well tonight, and the Sens don't face too much trouble with The GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Toronto Maple Leafs - 7:00pm ET - Tue. Oct. 6th, 2009 - Page 7 50327

But I thought your goaltending position was stable? Why are you worried about someone running into leclaire tonight? Simple question, but not to easy to answer when the blinders are on.

I think the line of thought was that the Leafs' truculent and belligerent run and gun style of hockey would result in more injuries. I'm not worried about our goal tending... I'm more worried about the rest of the team and the fact that we may be missing Kuba on the blue line.

If most teams number 1 goalie gets injured they're in big trouble. With Leclaire and Elliott as a tandem Ottawa has strong goaltending. If Leclaire is injured then there's not much after Elliott. Sure Elliott could handle carrying the bulk of the load if Leclaire was gone for an extended period but his backup would be Mike Brodeur or Chiodo unless Murray found a reasonable trade or UFA.

You are missing the point. most teams dont go into the game hoping their goalie doesn't get touched. but ottawa fans have to because of leclaire. it really isnt that hard to understand. im not trying to be contraversial, but this really is the only site i go to that doesnt seee the reality of their goaltending position. i think only spezd is the only member to acknowledge that your goaltending is not stable. everyone else thinks you guys are set. reality will set in soon enough.

I don't see how anyone can say after one game that our goaltending is not stable.

Yep, Toronto's duo of J.G., with 0 NHL games, and Toskala, with mediocre stats since leaving SJ, are so superior.

when did i ever say toronto is a good team? toronto is horrible and will be for awhile. Burke is an idiot. I am realistic, you guys should take notes.

the only good thing going for toronto right now is the cap space next year. if kessel was healthy right now, he couldnt play as we would be over the cap, that is how bad toronto is. worst 13 forwards ever and we are over the cap, if it wasn't sad, it would be humurous.

so i dont see your point tuk? are you acknowledging your goaltending is not stable or not. bringing up toronto has nothing to do with ottawas situation.

Our goaltending is no more or less stable then the majority of teams. Should our starting goalie get hurt, we would be in trouble, but we have an excellent backup.

Our goaltending is stable. The concern is the Low IQ, cement heads playing for the leafs. I don't care if I am Vancouver or Jersey, I worry about some idiot wearing a leaf on his steroid inflated chest taking cheap shots at my goalie.

AND we have a fantastical prospect in Lehner that we could take away from the Soo. We'd have to sign him first though. He's one of the best goaltending prospects out there.
