Picard was awful.

He also appears to be the weakest 6'3" player in the NHL. I bet Karlsson would outmuscle him in a one-on-one situation. He'll never be more than a perimeter player unless he can either skate by opposition players or overpower them.

I dunno, I'm happy we got the win but I'm unconvinced. That was also pretty boring to watch. Near - dare I say it - Hartsburg levels of boredom.

Both were awful. And it's clear that Karlsson is going to need a veteran partner if he's going to succeed on this team. You can't send him out to the slaughter with that defensive vortex Campoli.

Clouston needs to start figuring out line combinations and defensive pairings real soon.

I thought Karlsson handled it well to be honest but I dont think that will be an every day pairing. We got the win without Kuba which is HUGE and Toronto still has yet to win a game.

Burke is gonna regret trading that pick by December, hahaha. I LOVE THE LEAFS!

I don't know, I thought it was a very good game from the Sens and they had a lot of rushes, it was nothing like a Hartsburgh defense first type of game. It wasn't the most exciting Battle of Ontario game but the Sens executed well on every level

I was bored, our offence was for the most part horribly uninspring. I am not seeing any great plays, Spezza is still blindly passing to the other team.

Donovan's goal was an ugly one, and maybe we got lucky with the call a bit. Michalek's breakaway and the resulting penalty show was terrific.

It's nice that our 4th line can step up and net us a garbage goal but I'm not seeing the talent level of our top 6 at this point.

We tightened up defensively and Leclaire is the real deal so I'm happy overall Smile

It wasn't a Washington Capitals game for sure but what I meant was that the Sens weren't just playing tight defense, especially in the second they seemed to play with a lot of energy and jump and crashing the net a lot. It wasn't perfect but it was good enough

You have three new guys in your top 6, give them a Diddling break.

Tell me that's not the most confusing win. :^^^^: We won, but the system isn't where it needs to be, there was confusion in parts, we can't score yet, Leclaire was great, Fisher was king, A-Train was awesome. As many questions as answers from tonight. But I'll take it and I love you it.

Could be worse...we could be say Vancouver or San Jose, a team supposedly a Cup favorite that is losing in spectacular fashion to inferior teams.

The team, the new players, the system is all a working progress including our defense and offense, so if we can play a solid effort game like we did tonight while in this process than I'll take the win as ugly or boring as it is. Once we our forwards really click together and gel into the system, we'll def be a more exciting team to watch. For now I'm just happy with effort and points (in 2s please)

Also I wouldn't have been able to show my face to school 2moro if we had lost (I'm working with wayy too many Leafs fans on my team projects GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Toronto Maple Leafs - 7:00pm ET - Tue. Oct. 6th, 2009 - Page 19 812636 )

His position isn't too bad but he can't win a battle to save his life. I also saw him overskate the puck a few times. I also think he can play better than that though so I'm not going to panic.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, there was enough to be happy about -especially net drive that seemed to start with the Rangers game and got a lot better tonight - particularly with Kovalev-Fisher-Michalek (? I think) as the game went on.

If it all comes together properly, we're gonna be happy.

I know that, it's just an observation not judgement.

It's a valid one. Although, I started to see the real Kovalev when he was paired with Fisher. I'm pretty sure the other part of that line was Michalek and they were starting to jump.

Even worse, we could be San Jose...no penalty kill, no scoring, no drive, no determination, no heart, nothing...a goalie who's barely stopping the shots coming at him. Awesomely Diddled that team right now.
