Well, the sens aren't that much different from the habs in that regard. Not quite as many changes but just the fact that Spezza is finally not with that other guy is a big change for him. It's going to take a while. Vokoun has always had our number as well.
I agree with the previous posters though. Make as many cuts as possible, as quickly as possible. I'll reserve comment on anyone for at least another 10 games. If things still look the same as they did tonight, then yeah, I'll start to be a little concerned.

Ottawa still has a pretty solid core here. Montreal doesnt. If Ottawa wants to be successful off the bat I think you gotta start Cheechoo on the first liine with Spezza and Alfi. See if he can fill Heatbag's role somewhat.

I wouldn't mind seeing Alfie, Spezza, Kovalev personally but I think one of them would need to learn a new wing right? That would kinda suck if so. Besides which you're providing Spezza with a bit of a crutch again if you do that I suppose. Making Spezza do some of the heavy lifting is probably in order but chemistry will rule on the line combos more than making Spezza grow as a player I think.

Try to look at other teams through the same glasses you look at your team through. You guys have no defense...yet and no goalies for awhile. I think it was also this website where someone said that ottawa is now better than san jose. Come on, get a grip.

Alfi/Spezza/Kovalev would drive each other mental. All of those guys LOVE having the puck on their stick. You gotta stick Kovy with guys who can get dirty, go to the net, and gain posession of the puck in the offensive zone.
On the PP I can see it, but even strength, I think that's an a pretty bad trio in the sense that it probably wont work like some would invision.
You need a snipper/shooter on that top line with Spezza for sure, and as far as I'm concerned that's Cheechoo.
Michalek/Fisher/Kovy would def be the best option for a 2nd line.
