Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed forward Matt D'Agostini to a one-year contract.
D'Agostini appeared in 53 games for the Canadiens last season and notched 12 goals with nine assists for 21 points. He was the third-leading scorer in the American Hockey League with 25 points in 20 games when the Habs recalled him from Hamilton in November.
The 22-year-old native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was selected by the Canadiens in the sixth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
