Elliott's rating sucks - period . They've (EA) been pretty good updating rosters bi-weekly, but the ratings really needed to be worked on. Lehtonen's been like an 84 overall for the last few years and Elliott's only what, 77?

On to FF, never played the franchise, so would I be lost playing this one?

NOpe, other than FFX and FFX-2, every FF is different, set in different worlds with different characters...
It's too bad to start a FF now though, I'm getting bored of this one, the intensity in the epic-ness is pretty sad compared to 7 and 8 (and even 9). I'm like 10 hours in and the scenario is not interesting me one bit. There's too much going on in terms of character interaction during the first hours, when the player doesn't even know them yet and doesn't care.

I'm telling you, the part in FF8 where they run from the spider metallic at the beach was more epic than the entire first 10 hours of this game.

Lightning is pretty much the only character I like, the others are like 10 year old immature babies.

If you haven't done it yet and own NHL10 I would strongly suggest doing a fantasy draft to build your team. It is the most fun I've had in a long time (aside from Super Mario Bros for the Wii). You draft your entire team, my most recent one was this weekend, I drafted a team of young guys, young awesome prospects all around. My goalies are Dubnyk (absolutely amazing goalie, he's silly) and Howard. In the minors I have Niemi and someone I took in the "real" draft.
My d-men are C. Franson - Pieterangelo - Lepisto *get this guy, teams would kill to get him* - Volchenkov & Kindl and I traded for Weber as well.
Forwards - Okposo - Malkin - Michalek -
Backlund - Stamkos - Samuelsson (my only "old guy" for experience)
McGinn - Anisimov - Bergfors
I can't remember my 4th line at the moment...

Anyways, so I drafted all of these guys and my cap hit is something like $30Million total. I have so much money left I don't know what to do with it. My minor league is stacked on wing and D, but I need to work on my Centermen. It is sooooooooooooo much fun to do and it makes you appreciate the game even more since it's a team that you built yourself. I've won 2 of 5 games so far...I'm playing on Pro for the 1st time and am having some serious issues with my defense, but it's getting better. They're all very close games.
