That made the rounds a couple of winters ago. What the video doesn't clearly show is the grade of the street. This is Seattle, so lots of precipitation. Temperatures must have dropped sudden and, unlike here in Canada, it's not like the City is prepared with salt and sand trucks. That was sheer ice, on a downhill street. You have to be seriously under-experienced with winter driving (as are most drivers in Seattle) to even attempt to drive in those conditions. And the idiot crossing the street! He can fall down just as easily and slide down the hill, too, but with less friction (and likely no boots with hard soles) he'd probably pick up more speed.

Wow, that looks like one nasty storm. I find it very odd that this guy was so frantic and determined to try to drive home or wherever he was going. Just get out of your car and walk.

Snow is almost a sure thing out by my place leading up to the may long weekend. OH man i remember one summer when i was travelling between Jasper and Lake louise that we got a foot of snow in late july...
