How can you have a streaky backup anyway? Aren't they only supposed to play one or two games at a time?

Garriochs' an idiot.

I don't recall Garrioch ever mentioning Wade "No-Trade" Redden's deal as being expensive. Oh yeah, but he was a media-fabricated "hometown" boy!

These losers are so transparent.

What's stopping us Heater? other than $$ that is?! LOL

And Jordo, LONG TIME NO SEE DUDE!!
And you're absolutely right... Garrioch is a f**kin' idiot, for starters.

If he were removed and someone worth their salt was brought in, it would probably surprise the owner(s) of the Sun how many more people might want to read their paper... Wink

And Heater, I totally agree with you. They need someone who can be FAIR AND OBJECTIVE reporting on Ottawa's beloved team.

Christ, I nominate Heater and DTR to usurp Boo Boo and Brennan!

All those in favor say "Aye"

Are we 'fair and objective'? LOL

I think Boo Boo was genuinely upset with the season the Sens had and let it reflect on his grades.

I believe he was fighting a case of weight related sleep apnea whilst recovering from the combination of chicken wing bloat, hangover, sugar high and ice cream brain freeze. That made him somehwhat huffy. Sure a lot of the team should be kicked in the junk for only turning it on when it was too late. But the ratings were way off.... another turd laid from Garrioch...

We should prepare an "official" GMHockey response with our assessment and grades and send him the link.... and a letter to the editor with the same info regarding the response and our dis-satisfaction with his review.

Make it professional and they may just mention it...

I am definitely on board. And hey, I think all or any members that wish to have their name(s) attached should feel free to do so as well; you know the ol' saying: "There's strength in numbers."

I think we've all come a long way in being a little more fair and a little more objective. And I also think we've all come a long, long way in realizing that a prospect is just that: a prospect.

Little things like that that can change a person's view on an organization.

That - and very, very few players 'suck'. A word I used to throw that word the Sabres, Leafs etc. way a lot. :D:

Amen!

I'm in!

So, who else is interested in throwing in their 2 cents?
And 2nd, how do we proceed? Who drafts said letter and officially sends it, etc...?

ah-ha! Convenient.

Can anyone scan the page in question?

EDIT: also, I was thinking since the Team 1200 is the main artery for Sports talk in the Ottawa listening area, it might be prudent to send them via email the piece we are talking/discussing putting together. We have the opportunity to possibly reach a much wider audience this way as well...

Thoughts anyone?

We could also do something CRAZY like have a tête-à-tête with other hard-core Sens affiliates and have them throw their support in as well. But then again, I dream big...

I would e-mail Bruce first and lay it down that all of us read the Sun - and most of us know what we're talking about. So, if he wants to use us as a test board, then he should take advantage of that. I personally would have said to change the grades on a few guys and look at them for what they did for the Senators, instead if the number of points they accumulated.

Plus, if Bruce is going to take shots in the dark, maybe he should check some of these rumours with us and SensChirp first. That way he doesn't look like a complete fool from time to time.

Lastly, the next journalist that uses the monetary value of the contract instead of the cap hit, I'm gonna have to punch them in the face. I can't see why anyone should know or care about the year by year salary when it's only the salary cap that matters in the least.
