That's one of their key skills... never panic, just keep playing with the system and never relent. The system will come through and produce chances and goals.

It's also the experience factor IMO.

columbus needs another scoring threat nash has been stifled and there is no one else that is a huge threat out there

Columbus is still in the building stage...this experience will make them stronger.

The Red Wings know what it is to be both Champions and doormats.

they should have brought frolov up for the game to see if maybe that can generate some offence

You mean Filatov of course...could be they are not sure if he's quite ready. No sense in rushing Nikita.

right sorry im not exactly sure of names... right now it wouldnt hurt not necesarily rushing i mean they shouldnt expect him to be a game breaker but it would give their dying offense a little push

I think at the end of the series the Jackets should take up a collection and give it to the Wings. A fee for the excellent tutoring they've been given. This is like the Sens/Pens from two years ago, except the Jackets don't have as much talent.

the jackets still need more offense than nash he is an amazing player but a lot of their pp revovles around him they need another player to make it harder to shut down the offense... but definitely a huge learning experience

Well, the playoffs aren't really the time to experiment...IMHO Howson and Hitch both know where the team is at. Getting to the playoffs has been the goal, and they have achieved it.

In a few years with Filatov, Brassard and Voracek backing up Nash, they might.

Plus, I'll still take Mason over Fleury.

ASQ, as usual, well said.

And there's no substitute for experience. The Jackets are getting that.

In this case, Boudreau had no choice...and Varlamov has already shown he's ready for the NHL. I watched him in a game for the Caps earlier this season and if I remember correctly that was a shutout as well.

30 seconds left 4-1 wings the jackets are done IMO but it has been such a leaning experince there is only like 3-4 player who have been to the playoffs

Nice to see the Jackets get one for their fans.

It'd be nice to see them not get swept, but I think it'd also be nice to see their season end on home-ice so they can salute the fans, and I'm not sure I can see them winning one at the Joe.

Que sera sera.
