Who know who will develope, but with Murray at the helm, there will be someone like that fairly soon.
Ijust finished posting about ryan clowe that would be pretty sweet get him and draft cowen and we would have a pretty mean team :D:

There is a market for Auld at this point, and my guess is Calgary may make a pitch for him, along with Buffalo and Colorado.

Me too. I just have no idea if they're gonna trade Auld, or if they're gonna send Elliott back to the AHL so he can play every game. The most sense would be for Auld to back up Leclaire this year and then Elliott next year - with the eye on Elliott taking over once and for all the year after.

But...you'd have to have a major league goalie coach in the A to work with Elliott or it's just a waste.

Auld becomes insurance for Murray until he can get Elliott resigned. Once he gets Elliott resigned then I suspect that Auld would be moved at or before the deadline next year. Calgary is one team that could really use a guy like Auld to back up Kipper.

Edmonton needs a serious shake up and prob some new faces.

I've been saying for a long time these 2 teams would be possible destinations. Edmonton needs someone to play with Hemsky and Atlanta would be giving Kovo what he needs as well in a quality center. My money would be on Edmonton.

Mmm... I have no idea if there could be chemistry there but I really like the look of that.

Actually, I really like the top 6 there. Take Shannon out, put Alfie on RW, put Foligno on their LW and move Shannon to line 3 with Regin and Zubov/Winchester/Kelly.

Foligno - Spezza - Alfredsson
Heatley - Fisher - Cheechoo
Zubov - Regin - Shannon <-.......the B-Sens line!
Ruutu - Winchester - Kelly <-.....the playoff grind line

I like that 4th line other than Kelly. I suspect Murray will trade him and get a cheaper option. I wonder if Calgary would be interested in an Auld for Primeau and Irving.

Why cant the sens find one like him Crying

Kassian in this up coming draft might be the closest.

Murray HAS a cheaper option for Kelly...Donovan. Why is he not in there? name another guy making 600K that works harder than most forwards every game?

Kelly's got speed and work ethic but hands of pure granite....

on another note, anyone notice that we've got 5 free agent Dmen after this coming season? Only Philips and Kuba are here for longer...

who do we sign first - last? and for how much? Who's traded?

Chris Campoli (RFA)
Alexandre Picard (RFA)
Brian Lee (RFA)
Anton Volchenkov (UFA)
Jason Smith (UFA)

If I'm GM.....

Smith is traded this summer....
Volchenkov re-sign him around Xmas for 3 more years 11 Million

That leaves 3 spots between
Campoli, Picard, Lee, & 1# Dman

who's gone?

I'm guessing that if Murray can't resign A-train by the deadline then he is gone. A playoff bound team may pay a premium for his shot blocking abilities.

Depending on how Smith is doing and where the team is in the standings I'm guessing he could be moved at the deadline.

As for Picard, Campoli, and Lee it will depend on how there season goes. If all are lights out I am sure some team will offer an RFA contract for a PMD. If any have an off season then I suspect they could be resigned cheap on a 1 or 2 year contract. I suspect that we will lose one of them unless Lee is moved this off season.
