In retrospect, seeing Montreal get swept was something that contradicted the 'experts'.

However, our GM Hockey Members seem to have nailed the outcome of this one.

A whopping 74% of those voting had this one over in four or five.

I readily admit I anticipated a longer series...but then, I was just hoping for the entertainment value...

I can now share with all of you that I actually agreed, when considering it from an objective viewpoint, with the majority...on the forecast of a quick playoff death for the Habs.

Et voila...c'est tout.

Can you just do me a favour and edit that so it doesn't have the F word? It's obviously not a big deal to me, but...you know...

I agree with Gainey and the rest of the Habs team. It definitely wasn't fair to blame that game on Price.

Disappointing way for the 100th anniversary to go, but in the end, the fans that were obnoxious earlier on in the season got what they deserved.

Michael Ryder doing most of the damage. Claude Julien coaching them. Man that must sting.

Predictable end on this one for sure. They were the Sens of last season. I wonder if the disfunction continues next season as well?

I get the feeling there will be some sweeping changes next year. Possibly even a new GM to go along with the new coach.

A lot of the FAs will be allowed to walk without so much as an offer to keep them. There will be some new faces for sure.

They will take time to adjust to the Montreal state of mind, and then they should do fine.

There's some SERIOUSLY bad hockey karma in Montreal...has been since 1993.

How many coaching changes have they had since then? Demers, Laperriere, Tremblay, Vigneault, Therrien, Julien, Gainey, Carbonneau, Gainey.

General management? After the 12 year tenure of Serge Savard, we've seen Rejean Houle, Andre Savard, and Bob Gainey. None able to implement 'the five year plan'.

Starting goaltenders? After Roy, a revolving door with Racicot, Chabot, Tugnutt, Thibault, Theodore, Garon, Hackett, Aebischer, Huet, Danis, Halak and Price all taking turns...and how many of them, getting eviscerated by the media and the fans.

As they enter the off season, no one knows who will even own this team next year.

All bets are off.

One can, however, still get an excellent smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz's on Boulevard Saint Laurent.

Very good point, and don't forget a stop at Stoggy's for a primo Cohiba and your choice of some of the finest single malt liquors around; and then finish the night off with a soirée you'll NEVER forget at Club Séduction. Wink
