Nashville has failed to secure their playoff aspirations as Cal Clutterbuck ices it 7-4 and the Wild stay in the mix.

Still think Toronto won that trade?

The Blues are IN.

They stifled the Jackets tonight 3-1...a masterful performance and a tribute to the extraordinary coaching skills of Andy Murray...not to mention the work of John Davidson and Larry Pleau.

I officially declare my playoffs team for this season: S to the T to the L.O.U.I and E.

Also Ducks 10 min away from eliminating the Wild, and clinching.

Stars 10 min away from the 8th overall pick.

Sens 10 min away from 9th overall.

I would not want to play the Ducks in round one, they're gonna grind their opposition into the ground.

Same with the Pens. Look out, there's gonna be some issues in both Conferences.

Agreed.

We could see some upsets.

Still some seedings to be determined...a lot at stake in this weekend's games for the Pens, Flyers, Canes, Rangers and Habs in the East; Jackets, Ducks and Blues in the West...

BTW the Blues looked VERY dangerous last night...Andy Murray has them playing superbly disciplined hockey.

Watch the Panthers win tonight and the Habs lose and they both end up with 93 points, but the Habs, of course, have the tie breaker.

Florida would have to look back on this season as having missed the post season by a single point.

How sad.

Bye bye Bouwmeester... bye bye... for nothing.

Well, it doesn't have to be for nothing. They can trade early negotiation rights. They can still try to sign (with a promise to trade).

Are there any restrictions as to when a player can re-sign with his team? Can he be signed between now an FA Day?

That said, when does the trade deadline period expire? Is it right up until July 1 or only until the end of the regular season? Is there an opportunity for Florida to trade him (signed or unsigned) after the champagne has been drunk but before the FA Frenzy begins? Draft day is before July 1, isn't it?

St. Louis is peaking at a beautiful time right now, although if they play the Sharks in the first round, I'm still gonna be taking the Sharks to blow them out of the water.

Which means, if those two play, Detroit and Anaheim will be having themselves a dance in the first round as well...epic.

Welcome J-Bo to Ottawa? maybe? I know the outcry has been there for it, but well, a steep price to pay too for the stud D-Man.

I don't think there's any way Murray will land J-Bo. People are going to over-pay for him like crazy. He's been hyped up so much it's insane.

You can't help but love St. Louis right now. If they do face the Sharks in the first round, that's an upset just waiting to happen. Heh heh.

It's tune up time today...

The Mighty Wind meet the Swamp Things in Joysey, and there IS a playoff seed on the line here, folks. Can the Canes comeback from getting bopped by Buffalo, to beat Brodeur? It's One-One already...

The FlyBoys also want to batten down their playoff hatch. The Long Island Ice Teas might be the front runners for Tavares, but backmarkers can still bite.

Original Six matchups are always special, and this weekend we get a twofer with the Hawks and Wings doing their home and home thing. The feathers will fly.

The Nucks tuck away third seed--and claim the Northeast--if they can bury the Avalanche, or even just purloin a point.

The B's are top of the East's heap, but they can still strive for the President's Prize if they blunt the Sabres in Buffalo.

The Sharks cap off a season that gives many reason to make them the team to beat in the Stanley heat. They can kick off their quest by conking the Kings.

The Pingus are still marching. Sid N Geno want to show that last year's Cup drive was no jive. Gainey's Gang is just happy to still be alive.

The Battle of Ontario is going ballistic as the Sens and Buds will be out of for blood.

Is there some juice left in the Lightning? Some flash left in the Thrash? You could be forgiven for missing this one.

Ovie will be in overdrive with the Art Ross in his sights. The Meow Mixers are still trying to figure out how they turned their season into a hair ball.

The Jackets are jazzed as they stride into the postseason for their maiden run. The Wild will be mild...their dream is done.

The Ducks want to move up in the playoff pecking order, and to send the Yotes yelping would be a heapin' helping.

Last night Edmonton shamed the Flames, and Iron Mike is layin' blame. The Oil still want to spoil Calgary's playoff party.

Another pheNOMenal hockey night!!!
