Exactly, and if that kid is actually given a REAL shot to put up some big numbers with 2 players like Alfi and Heatley at a cheap, cheap cap hit, then he could be our Zetterberg.

The Sens have such a shot at really making their team the most complete in the East, I'm actually pretty excitted to see what happens!

People might say "he's not ready", well, he needs a chance at some point and f there is a hole there he might very well fill it while at the same time being extremely responsilbe on the other side of the puck allowing Heatley to really take some chances up front with Alfi.

Yeah, that's not a bad idea but chances are we'd be getting a center back in any Spezza trade. Whoever that center is would be the guy that would play with Heater.

Regin does have some serious upside though and soon he'll be an NHL player.

Maybe... maybe we get another D prospect and a pick... could be a few things that could happen. I still think Spezza ends up in Atlanta.

Put Regin between Heater and Alfie and see what happens...

WOuld love to see it, thats the type of player that could absolutly blow up in that situation. Even if Spezza is here they should try it, why does Spezza always have to play with those two?

I don't see why we can't do that anyway. It's a good idea, Regin is very, very talented. Put him in between Heatley and Alfie. Put Spezza with Shannon and Comrie and put Fisher with Foligno and _______. Start to like the look of the top 9 (well 8) and I think if someone's gonna finally add a little spice offensively at center who's not named Jason Spezza, it really could be Regin.

Or not. Who the heck knows, I'd try it in camp next year for sure (I might not resign Comrie in that case though, I might go for a veteran, Cup-winner, big guy).

would love to see it, and at this point of the season, why not? this is when Clouston should be doing his feeling out for next season, but of course, that is under the assumption they resign him for next year.

Agreed, I'd love to see it for at least a few games. And I think demoting Spezza would get more out of him, not less. I'm happy when Spezza plays a complete game but looking back, that's dropped off to once in every 4 or 5 games. Maybe ok if you're making less dough but disappointing with his contract.

It's worth a try to say the least.
