Makes sense - Anaheim is another one of those teams that needs playoff revenue. They also don't want to be caught short if Neidermeyer retires. They will know Neidermeyer's intentions at the draft, so they can react accordingly then. I don't think the return on Pronger will be much different between today and the draft.

If I am Anaheim I trade Scott Neidermayer for the best deal, then trade Pronger at next years deadline.

that's a big blow to a few teams fantasies of having Pronger on their blue line, but just drives the price up for who is available with each D-man they say is not going to be moved.
