So if Melnyk removes Murray in the off season. WHo would be your choice to replace him?

So not knowing who is available. I am going to pick Bob Clarke. With Burke in TO and going to make TO a rough and tough team to play against I think that Clarke would be a good choice to balance build skillful and tough team to play against.

Clarke lost his touch. He even admitted he burnt himself out. He made a lot of mistakes before he got canned. I really do not want him in charge of the Sens. Plus, I'm pretty sure he has a comfy job still with Phili, I doubt he would want to leave.

In answer to your question though, I really have no idea who is available that could make an impact. Jay Feaster is available, but I'm not really sure I want him aboard. If Melnyk does change direction, which even though I don't like Murray's decision to fire Harstburg at this time, I hope he doesn't, he will probably have to poach an assistant GM from some other team.

Good Point but maybe with his being away from the GM's role for awhile now he may have recharged himself. Another I thought of would be Stevie Y.

Has Spartacat been given any consideration? Word is that he is very close to the team.

I've said it a few times already. David Poile from Nashville. There are also guys like Feaster, Craig Patrick, Doug Armgstrong and Neil Smith that should all be available.

Actually, I like that idea a lot. Nashville would be a powerhouse if they had the resources to keep some of their players. He also loves drafting good d-men.

I'd hire the Jay Feaster/John Tortorella tandem. Done and done.

SSF, why would you hire Feaster? Do you consider his work during the time Tampa went from Cup winner to non-contender worthy qualification as rebuilder of the Senators?

He built that Cup winner and he recognized the value of Dan Boyle. There will always be pressure to sign your top playoff performers. Look at us, Pittsburgh, Carolina... He has the advantage of having learned a hard lesson.
