Dah well, tonight I think you actually may see a hard working game for the most part. I like the line combo's right now, they may or may not work but its good to see them trying somehting different and trying to mix up the chemistry, because right now the team has none.

Spezza on a personal level better hope his line produces while the others struggle, because he could very well get barried there for a long stretch if that happens.

The Sens have a good chance at winning this game, question is, do we want them to? Every win is just the difference between a top 5 pick or 14th overall.

And while I understand why Spezza's moved down the depth chart, the question is, why if you plan on trying to move him? The less value you place on a player, the less other teams do.

Cheer just enough so that they play well enough to showcase talent to prospective buyers, but just enough to come up short.

You know one thing I didn't like (perhaps I am over analyzing and the two are unrelated but..)

After Hartsburg's comments came out about working harder (he mentioned it clearly several times). Mike Fisher said 'it's not about working harder it's about working smarter' ummm... maybe for you Mike but the rest of the boys need to pick up the shovels and start digging in. Either way shut up and play.

Again perhaps I am overanalyzing and Fisher made the comment unrelated to what Hartsburg said but again... SHUT UP when you are losing.

EDIT: my first anti-Fisher post ever...

Haha, thats kind of funny the way you put that. I agree and disagree with it all at the same time.

If I was Fisher and someone asked me if I had to work harder, I would turn the other way as well or answer in a similar fasion.

I think they should all be pissed at themselves and not answer any questions. Especially giggly girl 19.

That's what I thought, too. Also he could have been just making a point about how much patience he has left.

So what will happen IF (hypothetical scenario) after the first period tonight, we're down 3-0... call in the bingo team to play against dallas..? I just don't see where this is going to go.. we have a dominant first line and we lose... we shake it all up and we lose again.. then where are we going to turn? I just don't know whats going to happen if this gets shot down the drain.

Don't take this the wrong way, I am an optimist and I still think we'll make the playoffs.. but theres just that damn voice sitting in the back of my head telling me that Ottawa hockey is going to be over in April... and I can't have that long of a summer again.

Oh man, I've been looking forward to this one.

Should be fast-paced and wide-open.

Prediction:
6-5 shoot-out win for the Devils.

I predict 4-2 win for the Sens and then they will go back to playing crap hockey the next game.

Gaborik leaves practice early. Says he's in some discomfort but still planning to play. Unreal. I know it has nothing to do with the GDT but no-one reads teh All-Hockey thread any more.

No clue what is going to happen tonight. Could be an expieriment that goes well, could be a disaster.

I'm hoping for disaster.

I've completely abandoned any interest in this season.

The only thing I care about at this point is the Hedman race.

I am with you Neely. As frustrated as I get I just can't ignore the rest of the season. There are some players that I still enjoy watching even if the teams loses.
