Chabot had the stick knocked out of his hands by Joseph a second before he tied the game. That was as much a slash. The boarding on Stone should have been something but they scored right away so it would have been negated anyway. But did the arm go up?

Yes, the Bolts took over toward the end of the second but much of it had to do with extra aggressive play that often bordered on interference, holding and hooking. And yet they penalty called on the Sens was as if they were just looking for anything to call. The double standard in the league favoring the elite teams is terrible.

BTW on the tying goal at the end, when Boro is trying to get to the puck to clear it his stick is checked from behind. Same play, really, as the "slash" that led to the PP.

And didn't Point get hit in the head with a puck and go down? Should have been in the quiet room and not scoring the tying goal.

Disgusting.

A point from Tampa is pretty good. Just kinda sucks about the events that lead to that finish. Bah.

Anyway, there's a long way to go, we all knew it. Let's continue trotting the kids out and work hard. Ceci doesn't do anything particularly well, I dont really understand what his deal is. I'm not a hater, but...I dont really know his purpose right away

I don't understand the Anderson love fest. To me he has not been great.. He only has a .909 save percentage. Look at John Gibson who faces a ton of shots, he has a 935. Anderson hasn't been stealing anything for us, IMO.

Anderson's had some great stretches in games, but yeah, he's not quite at that elite level where he's gonna single handedly steal us a game.

What are your thoughts on Ceci at this point? If we're offered anything approaching what we think 'market value' for a young, right handed D is, I would think you take it.

I mean...I'd like to hear anyone argue that Jaros is not as good as Ceci immediately, never mind the long run.

Yeah you take it. At this point internal solutions are fairly available.
Id like to make the argument that he’s being miscast as a shutdown guy in Ottawa and some other team might better utilize him but that’s unlikely to happen here in Ottawa so a trade could be beneficial for both sides.

Id love to get a nice top notch blueline prospect with maybe a second rounder but arguably maybe the best we can hope for is a late 1st rounder.

And even then, the sens might have tarnished his value.
IMO they aren’t even entertaining trading him. Dorion just doesn’t seem like he would. But who knows. MYbe his next salary is what might prove to be the motovation to move him.
If they can re-sign Stone and duchene then I believe they might look to move Ceci. But I also imagine that won’t happen till closer to the deadline.

I guess if we all see that he's nothing at all special, everyone will, but you never know...

In afraid at this point we are not going to get much, if anything. He's no younger "young", he is not signed beyond this season, he's not sure to be much of anything special.

Do they might as well just keep him, sign him to eat he's really worth (a depth guy, at this point) and maybe start playing him as such. One of Ceci and Wideman should be gone next year.
