I think he meant that we need Logan Brown to develop and make the team.

That makes more sense. Sorry about that (honestly had never heard of him).

We've got Bolland-lite in Bollig. Everyone's favourite healthy scratch!

Logan Brown, son of former NHLer (and current 67s Head Coach) Jeff Brown and best buds with Jeff Chychrun (their dads and families are close). 6'6" and 222 lbs at the tender age of 18. He has quite a few lbs to put on before he can be effective in the NHL. But they aren't ruling him out of playing even this year (crazy talk, yeah, I know).

He sounds like a beast! I'm reminiscent of Cowen. I remember watching him dominate the Memorial Cup Final against the Kitchener Rangers (a friend won tickets to the game from a local pub). Kadri was MIA, Tokarski was a rock. I was thrilled when the Senators drafted him. Hopefully Brown develops well for you guys this year.

We have similar hopes for Tkachuk, but the thought is he'll most likely go back to Junior after his 9.

So will Brown. I'm not even sure he'll get anywhere close to 9 games. In addition to our regular centers (Turris, Brassard, Pageau, Kelly) we have Paul and Lazar who are both centers. White can't sign a pro contract or he loses his NCAA eligibility and I don't know if they'd let him play on an ATO (can a player play in the NHL on an ATO?)

Ugh, I hate players like that. No use for press boxers who suck even when they get a chance.

Someone on HF just said that the Vegas team just trademarked the name, "Desert Knights."

If they were going that route, why not just go with "Knights"? What the fcuk is a desert knight?

Well, desert nights are very cold.  And hockey is played on frozen water ([ CliffClavenVoice ]technically, the pressure of the blade on the ice actually melts the top-most layer so the skate is actually hydroplaning, so maybe very cold water -- but you still need the frozen water underneath for obvious reasons[ /CliffClavenVoice]).

It's not as bad as RedBlacks, and that one has grown on me.

Knights would have been good, why the desert part?

I don't even like the Knights part. It's lame....

I'd also stay away from any gambling references. It just gets too tacky. I'm sure the people that actually live in Vegas are just overloaded by that type of imagery they deserve something better.

Read a rumor that the London Knights were throwing a hissy fit over an NHL team using the name 'Knights'.  I don't know how true that is or if it had anything to do with Las Vegas team name, doesn't make sense why a junior team would dictate that.  'Kitchener Rangers......New York Rangers'

Tacky has no place in Vegas.

I don't care what the team calls itself ... every one will call them the Vegans.

Hmm, so the KHL is expanding into China. Talk about your East Coast road trips.
